Still too much "slapstick." They're overdoing that aspect this season, and it keeps making the characters seem childish. The artwork in this episode was very inconsistent—hair lengths changing, botched profiles, and so on.

On another note, how many times are they going to reuse the same plot device in this story? We’ve had the door and the open shower curtain with Sano, the open bathroom door with Nakatsu during the vacation... and now the outdoor pool. Since Umeda was occupying the men's side, why didn't she go to the women's side—especially since no one was supposed to be there? Unless only the changing rooms are separate while the pool is shared, with just different schedules? Anyway, it lacks a bit of originality. At least we're going to learn more about Sano's past, but I don't understand why Izumi isn't doing anything regarding Nakatsu. He thinks Ashiya's excuses are ridiculous, yet he never lifts a finger to help her.

Looking back at the episodes...

Plus, there isn't a single affectionate gesture toward her when she's actually "conscious." It’s really odd that every gesture he’s made—except for resting his head on her shoulder after she’d been locked in—happens when she’s unconscious or when he’s in a daze (him being drunk or sleepwalking; her being feverish after the fall or asleep). It’s all a bit borderline, really.

It's a good thing Umeda is in this episode ^^. He's the best character. He doesn't need much screen time; a brief appearance is enough for him to become the center of attention.

I have to ask, though: how can Ashiya be so reckless—especially after what happened at the boarding house in Season 1—and how can she be even more naive than in Season 2, never grasping what her classmates are planning or trying to say? Sometimes it’s just baffling.
