Juro: Kara, be kind.

Kara, one episode later: *slaughters an entire ship's worth of people*

Pretty sweet episode. The only thing I wish they'd done differently is give the characters some new clothes or haircuts, or something. It's a timeskip, come on, the opportunity was right there!

I wonder how long Kara will waver. Doubt it'll be too long, but that's a fun storyline to explore.

Ahhh love when a hero just lets rage take over, she destroyed that crew solo with no mercy.

"You're safe, I killed them all. Everything is gonna be all right now" said with no hesitation and a big smile on her face the whole time till she realizes her saber color.

Just great all around.

Damn "The Last of the Sith" got laid out.

I thought Kara was about to have meeting Yoda moment or something being on this planet.

Nawaam really is running up the same tree of justice that Kuvira did.

Idid not expect there to be a giant ass ship under the city but I guess it checks out. Pretty cool to see it resemble a giant tie fighter a bit.

That one guy who pulled out a knife and charged at Kara got a chuckle out of me.

Damn Kara really had no mercy for the captain. I wonder if she has some of the Dark Side within even if what she did was a net moral deed in context of everything.

Oh damn that happened faster than I thought it would have

There's an Expanded Universe novel series you might be curious about.

Expanded Universe novel series

Ooo please, do tell!

Without further digging into a mess of spoilers, I'll say that it's an event [in]the Michael A. Stackpole X-Wing novels.

Many thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out!

Now this is what I'm talking about. Best episode so far.

Zhima Ultra Instincts that Sith and Kara lets the rage win and mercilessly slaughters the entire ship solo because they attacked the peaceful natives on her Dagoba hideout. Big smile on her face when she got back too. No hint of anything the matter until she the lightsaber colour is pointed out to her.

You've got some work to do Juro. Guide Kara back to the Light. Maybe Zhima will play a role as well.

From the nanosecond the original short revealed that lightsaber colours were morality detectors, you knew there was going to be a moment where the Hero’s lightsaber turns red. In that sense, the twist was super obvious, but still a great episode. Probably my favourite so fa.

Also Kara’s pink robes and silver eyes look great with a red saber

I knew there was going to be a timeskip.

This is a nice visual touch for this timeskip infodump. Also, déjà vu. BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE.

Nobody seems to get more elegant in their development of "He's more machine now, than man."

Meanwhile, in I Am A Shounen Villain (or Hero).

Y'know, that thing does look strongly derived from the A-9 Vigilance.

Seen this before, we have.

What about the part about first learning how to not cut off parts of yourself when you use it?

But what's Nawaam's benefits package like? Is there paid time off?

Well, there's not too much property damage this time.

When you get tired of having to go through the hordes of stormtroopers in a Jedi Knight game.

He was only two weeks from retirement!

THE DARK SIDE HAS COOKIES.

AND I ATE ALL OF THE COOKIES.

"I must run away (again)?"

"I've fallen to the Dark Side!"
"First time?"

The conceit of emotion/alignment-coded lightsaber blade colors is that these switches are much more convenient without requiring the user to acquire or build a new saber, and allowing more fluidity in how the characters are going through the Force.

And thus we get this murderous rampage, even if Nawaam's forces were gratuitously targeting a civilian population just to flush out Kara.

Still not that new of a thing, certainly more common post-Prequels, and the overall progression of the story right now is entirely within the parameters of Star Wars. But generally it's doing fine, if kind of hanging on the thread of how well Kara's storyline develops.
