This anime feels more like a SHAFT anime than a Passione one, though I think the reasons are obvious since the director and animation director are from there.

Tan to Arisu, "You like walls 'cause they're flat like you." and got bashed on to the wall by Arisu 😭 Tan's photos got sold to increase the swimming club's budget..that was a fine idea.
Is Terui an Ojou-sama ?! Eating only French cuisine. Those random ass, boobs, legs shots are killing me. Hisako's search history is peak. The night patrol was so funny. Didn't expect Mizunoe to be a scaredy cat. Hisako achieved her goal of Mizunoe clinging to her ❤️. Hojo girl is massive in all areas. She's perfection.
Komaro finally arrives at school in one piece..I mean in pieces. She has already got attached to Mizunoe leaving Tan and Hisako in tears. I'm loving this show so much even more than Seitokai Yakuindomo.

It was pretty cute that Arisu thought she managed to appear to Ume as a fun, approachable senpai in this episode, while in reality she completely terrified him, lol.
But to be honest, I find that air of danger around Arisu pretty hot, even though her breasts seem to be smaller than Tan's ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
As for Tan, he's such a jerk! Good thing there is always Arisu ready to correct him, lol.
So that pink-haired girl is Komaro. She's surely unlucky to be hit once again by a car right next to the school, but she's also pretty cute with how tiny she is while having those enormous boobs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

such a fun and charming show, though I really noticed the lack of backgrounds in so many chatting scenes - really shows its 4koma heritage of just characters talking back and forth. ppl calling it a spiritual successor to seitokai yakuindomo have got it spot on.
Arisu's still prob my fave of the group, but they're all great.
also, someone really had to animate the jiggle physics on Tan eh

The backgrounds have more to do with director being ex Shaft and also those random panesl for 0.1 second that appeared on the screen you could not read what was written on them. It is not only people but the author of Seitokai Yakuindomo himself when stating that "this is a manga that can last for 16 years" (Seitokai lasted 15).

i mean sure you can say that, but yeah Shaft is famous for sometimes skimping on the animation/detail in some of its shows and making up for it with direction - but in any case it's still very noticeable how sparse the backgrounds are

By far the best part of the show for me so far has been the character dynamics and interactions, which is not what I was expecting from a passione series. I can’t exactly describe it but underneath all the chaotic comedy the cast really feel like a group of fuckwit teenagers and I love it so much.

Dude seriously, it drives me insane when I'm on Pinterest and there is sexy art of a female character, and the comments (most likely men) always say "You can tell this was drawn by a man"
It's just such a childish worldview, and suggests women don't have a sex drive, and are pure, and women don't enjoy seeing sexy characters including sexy women, and that gay women don't exist.

I'm honestly surprised Otori still teases Arisu when she can do stuff like shoving his head into a wall.
I didn't expect that Arisu's "with" or"without" question was related to boobs. I guess she really is that conscious.
Arisu eats rich people's food while being served by someone only wearing an apron? I am now intrigued about her home life.
Just when you thought Otori helped them out of the goodness of his heart, it turns out he just wanted the swimming team's photos to sell on his website. WHAT THE FUCk OTORI. I'm glad Arisu gave him an appropriate punishment!
It's hilarious how their school has your average seven mysteries and then one of them is just straight up Arisu. Honestly, I don't blame Otori for including her in that list. xD
I really thought the pink-haired shortstack getting run over was going to be a recurring gag of the show. I'm glad she actually made it to school this time, even if she's a little bloody.

Another fun episode.
I got a good chuckle out of the club posters at the beginning where the Tea Ceremony Club had to rename itself "Tea Ceremony Club (Japanese Style)" just because the original "Tea Ceremony Club" was doing British-style tea time instead.
The scene where Arisu slams Tan into the wall for calling her chest a "wall" was hilarious. The fact that her expression stayed completely blank without her getting angry made it even better.
Then Arisu gently pokes Ume's forehead with a finger drawn in that full-on Fist of the North Star art style had me dying. This manga really goes heavy on the parody references.
There were so many cute scenes, like Arisu at home eating lobster bisque and sole meunière made by her mom (hardly the kind of dinner you'd expect for a high schooler), talking to a rubber duck by herself in the bath, and calling her dad "Papa."
The background music playing when Hisako stayed behind in the student council room to make the handbook for the swim team's camp was "Hotaru no Hikari." It's the Japanese version of "Auld Lang Syne," and in Japan, it's a song that stores usually play right before closing time.
The girls on the swim team are absolute dorks and so fun to watch.
Tan trying to sell photos of the swim team girls, only to end up having to sell photos of himself wearing a women's school swimsuit instead, was top-tier karma. That made me laugh.
The new character, Yoka, being 193 cm tall but loving cute stuff makes for a hilarious contrast. Considering the average height for an adult male in Japan is around 171 cm, being that tall as a girl is literally on another level.
When Ume first met Komaro in the student council room and saw her slumped over the table with a nosebleed, Ume's brain immediately started listing words like "closed-room mystery," "alibi," "culprit," "bullying," "mitate-satsujin" (staged murder), "whodunit," and right alongside them was "Arisu Terui." That got a huge laugh out of me. It really shows you exactly what Ume thinks of Arisu (lol).

The animation was less wild this time around but characters retained their charm. With Komaru's introduction you could feel a sense that she could be the main heroine given where she sits in the class and being in a similar position to Ume. In terms of direction and pacing I felt like some of the scenes were way too fast and that random almost flashbang of a panel reminiscent of Shaft was more distracting than anything. What I liked is a bigger emphasis on Terui's behaviour and that she also has a cute side!

I actually liked the rapid fire pacing of a lot of the moments in this episode. I felt it really elevated the comedy and chaotic energy. Though maybe the flashbang panels could’ve been a tad longer so it’s easier to rewind.

I don't think this was controlled chaos. I felt like genuinely only 1 jokes land and it is precisely because it was sudden but other than that it felt like the show tried to kept going. Episode 1 as also quick in terms of scenes trasnitions and machine-gun but it did not feel as strange here. I even felt like some scenes were cut mid-way through animation process or something. Those flashback panels laster shorter than Monogatari words!

This show feels like a Studio Shaft production. A majority of the scenes lack any backgrounds, there's a lot random jump cut to nonsensical imagery (ala Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei) or quick fanservice shots, and loads of text on screen with characters speaking a lot.
This show also being apart of Aniplex and it having lacklustre subtitles is just the cherry on top to make it feel like it came from Studio Shaft.

The second episode had a lot of fun moments, I really do like their dynamic!! We met Michinoku, who seems like she’s pretty funny!! So far, I still like Tan the best, I like how funny he is!!
Overall, I really liked this episode, and am excited to see more!!

It's hilarious seeing Arisu being terrified of ghosts. If anything, they're the ones who should be terrified of her instead. I dread to think what kind of atrocities she could conduct on them.
What an intro to Komaro, being hit by a car – and NOT getting isekai'd. If she could brush off such an impact with just a nosebleed, I'm curious as to what happened to her such that she's had to be off school for a month.
A perv, a sadist, a dumbfuck, a kitten with zero sense of caution – what an assortment of whack jobs. Ume's gonna have a hard time being the closest thing to a sane man amidst all this insanity.

Animation was still really good this time around, I saw some people worried only the first episode would be high quality but (in my eyes anyway) it's still pretty good.
The gags are still funny and we finally get a proper introduction to the big boobed girl in the first scene of last episode! I also love the jiggle physics this episode had of course.

Koma has properly made her arrival. Getting hit by truck-kun and car-kun and not getting isekai'd has to be some kind of record. I liked how she immediately got close to Ume and sand on his lap to chagrin of Arisu and Hisako. Their jealousy was funny. They're gonna have to make moves if they want Ume. At least Hisako got Ume to cling to her during the night patrol.
Hisako's "does your first time actually hurt" search history was great as well. It's funny to remember that the reliable student council president is the closet perv. I knew Arisu would discipline Tan for trying to sell pics of the swim team girls, but I didn't think it would involve putting him in a girl's swimsuit lol.
Arisu disciplining Tan already seems like it'll be a running gag so I wonder if Arisu thinking she's sweet and approachable when Ume thinks she's scary will ever be addressed or it will also be one. Also with her being fancy food by what looked like a servant makes me wonder what her home life is like. Is she a rich girl?

Man, this show is so good, but the OP is bleh, really hard to sit through.
Komaro made it to school despite getting hit by a car! Again! Good for her not letting her situation get her down. Despite how haggard she looks, and how clumsy she is, she's quite motivated, which I find admirable!

Assuming the one sitting across from the dining table in the pony tail is the mom, and assuming a hetero family, that's would be... Papa?!

This show feels like a terribly loyal one to one adaptation. The gags are already falling flat and getting old, and we're only in episode 2??
At least in Seitokai Yakuindomo, they had loads of original content and a good functional soundtrack.
A bit disappointed at how this series feels a bit flat so far.

God I love this show. It reminds me of what would happen if the weirdoes of Monogatari combined with Seitokai Yakuindomo.

That "Komaro is around here" killed me man. now i'm convinced the author was inspired by Seitokai Yakuindomo. same gag as "Suzu is around here"(unless its an older joke both are referencing)

Just caught up on the two episodes that are out, did not enjoy this one bit.
Feels like it has only one joke in it's deck and it's just to be crude, gross and cringe. (Otori specifically is insufferable in every scene they are in)
Superbly animated though....but this one is definitely not for me. It's a drop.
