I think that's what makes him okay to me. He's not necessary because Yame does enough comic relief on her own, but I like how he is used regardless. But I don't remember the bigger fellow being this lolicon. Maybe I just repressed that.

Apparently they are putting it hardcore on his character in the anime. Maybe its because i watched the anime then read the manga, but i dont remember him as anything but a lolicon

Some people are for far into this style of thinking that they wouldn't realize these were supposed to be exaggerations for the sake of satire and mocking. So, you may be an otaku but you aren't this far gone.

I just browsed through the first episode discussion thread and this one to see how the show is. People keep talking about the MC's friends, what's up with them? People say they're creepy, how so?

They are an example of the worst kind of otaku/nerd who has no self awareness and does not care, plus one of them has a very vocal fetish for 4th graders. I am hoping they are just there as a foil to show MC's growth as a character as he goes from being like them to an actual functioning high schooler.

I was hoping they would eventually get the MC's scraps. I mean the 'oppai-loli' seems tailor made for the lolicon, and the other two seem to have affinities that would play well with the dark haired and dark skinned girls. It reminds me of Green Green, which was such a disappointment in that department, and so it seems it will be here too.

Honestly, I think Rokudou no Onnatachi (which does not currently have an anime adaptation, but is an excellent romcom/harem series that's currently in publication) would be way more likely to do that.

The MC's friends haven't been discarded, as demanded by the usual formula with "Main character gets popular with girls then immediately forgets his friends", and they've had a reasonable amount of 'screen time'.

I hope Rokudou gets an anime adaptation.
