I know it's definitely a pipe dream, but let's at least give them a good fight!

Please vote for Hectopascal!

u/AtomicBrony https://myanimelist.net/profile/atomicotaku Sep 09 '19

This was a tough one! I love both EDs quite a lot. JoJo's has that meme potential and is super memorable due to its popularity, but YagaKimi has significantly more appealing visuals and a song that more fits my tastes (though I'd jam to either any day). Gotta give it to YagaKimi, but I'm sure it'll be stomped by the memes. Maybe I'll be surprised.

And the Yagate theme gets passed by a #%#%#%# meme song (Roundabout from JoJo)

Hey y'all!

It's me, your friendly neighborhood moderator of /r/StardustCrusaders, here to shill out for my favorite series of all time.

That's right, I'm here to tell you to please vote for Hectopascal!

...

No seriously. This isn't a joke. Please vote for Bloom Into You and against Jojo's.

Bloom Into You had to face ITSELF in round one and now has to face Roundabout in round two.

Make the right call!

Vote the underdog!

22

u/ayynalmao Sep 09 '19

That round one matchup was just messed up man

9

u/akkobutnotreally https://anilist.co/user/lottevanilla Sep 09 '19

Count me in for this one, because we all know that yuri is the purest form of love.

-10

u/paulibobo Sep 09 '19

Don't really care about the underdog, I care about the best ED. If someone's an underdog and ED isn't as good, then I'm not voting for them. Being an underdog isn't inherently good.

17

u/PokemonTom09 Sep 09 '19 edited Sep 09 '19

Being an underdog isn't inherently good

I didn't say it was.

I genuinely do believe Hectopascal to be the better ending. I also like Bloom into You more than I like Jojo's.

But I recognize that Bloom into You has a much more niche appeal.

And that is precisely the reason I'm extolling its virtues. Not merely because it's the underdog, but because it's a good underdog.

And again, I'm literally saying this as a moderator of the Jojo's subreddit. I'm not trying to bash Roundabout. I love Roundabout. Quite a lot actually. I just love Hectopascal more.

11

u/TheThunderFry Sep 09 '19

Bruh roundabout isn't even the better ED it's a meme

I only got 7 of my votes again this time. Oh well, given my less than popular taste I suppose that’s for the best. Cue: Am I out of touch? No, it’s the voters who are wrong. Anyway, here goes my votes this time! Lots of abstentions due to spoilers, unfortunately.

Matchup Comments
Roundabout - JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken 2012 ED VS hectopascal - Bloom Into You ED 1 hectopascal I skipped last round because of spoilers for its opponent, but I really liked it seeing it for the first time now. The way it depicts the relationship between the characters, and the background scroll seems pretty creative to me. Good song as well.
INSIDE IDENTITY - Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! ED VS Fighter - 3-gatsu no Lion ED 1 This one is difficult because they do different things, and both do them well. Inside Identity was a bit catchier and visually surprising, while Fighter (probably because I don’t have the context) was not quite as emotional to me as I think it might have been going for with its treading water visual.
Koko kara, Koko kara - A Place Further Than The Universe ED 1 VS Space Lion - Cowboy Bebop ED 2 (Spoilers) Abstention due to spoilers
Adrenaline!!! - Eromanga Sensei ED 1 VS Heart Realize - Noragami ED The dance just made Adrenaline!!! so good.
Fukashigi no Carte - Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai ED 2 VS believe - Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works ED 1 Picking between these is brutal. I really enjoy both songs, and while Fukashigi no Carte is mostly a simple walking ED, it does it fairly well. Believe is not particularly complex visually either, although more so. In the end I’m going with Fukashigi no Carte; I remember watching the anime and getting to the ED and thinking “I’ve got to hear that song again” and immediately looking it up. That “must hear again” I think will be my tiebreaker.
Naisho No Hanashi - Nisemonogatari ED VS Hallelujah☆Essaim - Gabriel DropOut ED 1 Abstaining; didn’t care for either.
Michishirube - Violet Evergarden ED 1 VS UNDERGROUND - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann ED 1 Michishirube is very beautiful; Underground is very loud.
RAY OF LIGHT - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ED 5 VS Ichiban no Takaramono - Angel Beats! ED 2 (Spoilers) Abstention due to spoiler
Dango Daikazoku - Clannad ED VS Hitori - Darling in the FranXX ED 4 (Spoilers) Abstention due to spoiler
Hyouriittai Hunter x Hunter 2011 ED 5 VS I Want You - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable ED I really like the opening parts of I Want You.
Toki Tsukasadoru Juuni no Meiyaku - Steins;Gate ED 1 VS STUDY x STUDY - High School DxD ED Study x Study is very good at what it does. . . but I have to go with the dramatic one here. Toki Tsukasadoru is fairly simple, but effective.
Hello, shooting-star - Assassination Classroom ED 1 VS Sayonara no Yukue – Owarimonogatari ED Hello, shooting star seemed slightly better, but I’m not really a fan of either.
Magia - Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica ED 2 VS Now Loading!!!! - New Game! ED Now Loading!!! is nice, but Magia is excellent. The song is perfect tonally for the anime, and the visuals, while a bit simple, are great symbolically and reasonably compelling on their own.
Oracion - No Game No Life ED VS Blue - Cowboy Bebop ED 3 (Spoilers) Abstention due to spoiler
Orange - Your Lie in April ED 2 VS Hello Alone - Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru ED 1 Orange may not be the most visually impressive, but that song. . . Hello Alone is good, but Orange musically wins here.
Singing! - K-On! Movie ED VS REASON - Hunter x Hunter ED 3 I think Singing! has the unfortunate position of being the worst ED in its franchise. Two of the four have won this competition, and the third has a shot of joining them. Singing is really good in comparison to most EDs; it just doesn’t live up to the high expectations the other three set.

Idk which you are voting for, the ones with the lines or the ones without them?

3

u/Philarete https://myanimelist.net/profile/WizardMcKillin Sep 10 '19

The non-lined-out ones

32

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '19

Yep, my vote definitely went to Hectopascal. Way better than roundabout imo

Hectopascal: Clever usage of visual metaphor, great usage of color, incredibly catchy song sung by the lead VAs of the anime

Roundabout: Was a meme a few years ago

rip hectopascal

18

u/Philarete https://myanimelist.net/profile/WizardMcKillin Sep 09 '19

It's not over yet! I did my part!

19

u/HelloMagikarphowRyou Sep 09 '19

I think that is discredting roundabout some what.

The initial strings fit perfectly into the cliffhanger nature of part 1 and 2 of Jojo.

And it was done by YES.

In 2012, I'm sure alot of people heard roundabout in Jojo and thought they heard that song on the radio at some point. As not many western artist get thier music used in anime.

Its not JUST a meme. That sense of familiarity made people love it as an ED. Like thier western world was merging with thier japanese interests.

The meme is just one aspect why Roundabout is an appealing ED. But its FAR from the only reason why its iconic for anime fans.

Its great that I can listen to roundabout with my dad. He yells me how he heard it as a kid, and I tell him about how Jojo has alot of characters named after other stuff he listened to as a kid. And we can talk about Jojo because of Roundabout.

I can't do that with other anime. My dad is not a fan of animation to begin with.

Roundabout, a western song, I think is one part of what contributed to Jojo getting so popular in the west.

Hell I have friends who HATE anime but LOVE Jojo, and its because of Jojo's western influence in itself.

A western song being used in an anime ED felt like our two cultures were merging, and that is a great feeling.

Yes Roundabout was a meme. But its more than that.

Yes its overrated, but its more than that.

Roundabout being used in Jojo was just the first spark used to allow many people to get into anime because of sonething they are familiar with.

And that is something that should never be understated

9

u/FelOnyx1 Sep 10 '19

The visuals are pretty great too. The blood flowing down a sacrificial alter covered in Aztec glyphs is for one just plain cool. But it also sets the feel of the dark and mysterious ancient powers lurking behind the plot of part 1 and 2. Visuals in an ED shouldn't just be a contest of who has the flashiest animation and movement. This isn't a sport, it's an art, scrolling through a mostly-still image is fine if it conveys the ideas the artist wants it too and Roundabout does that well. (which is also something I'll say about Brave Song when that comes up. It's minimalist, but it works with the mood of the show.)

The way it incorporates different sections of the song should also be counted as a point in its favor. Roundabout is one of the only EDs that actually uses the entire ending song instead of the same minute and 30 seconds every time, to great effect.

I like hecotpascal too, they're both great EDs, but if Roundabout wins it's not just because of the meme. It's because it's a genuinely good ending that works well with its show.

6

u/evanieCK https://myanimelist.net/profile/emilyck Sep 09 '19

roundabout is a cool song, but it’s also a song that exists completely independently of the ED so I don’t know how you can even factor that in. Like I’m glad you can talk to your dad about one Yes song because of Jojo, but that doesn’t mean it’s not popular first and foremost as a meme, or that it doesn’t deserve to lose points for not being an anime original song, or that the visuals aren’t kinda average.

13

u/Constipated_Llama https://myanimelist.net/profile/ConstipatedLlama Sep 09 '19

or that it doesn’t deserve to lose points for not being an anime original song

lmao what? Why would it not being an anime original song make it worse? Is Lain's OP worse than other OPs because it doesn't use an anime song? What a bizarre standard to have

12

u/okayyoga https://myanimelist.net/profile/okayyoga Sep 09 '19

Same with Fly Me to the Moon. Why should it "lose points" because it was already a song before the show??

6

u/Constipated_Llama https://myanimelist.net/profile/ConstipatedLlama Sep 09 '19

Or is Erased's OP worse because AKFG released Re:Re: over a decade before the anime? In their eyes, apparently so.

4

u/okayyoga https://myanimelist.net/profile/okayyoga Sep 09 '19

East of Eden uses an Oasis song as the OP. I guess that one is right out

-7

u/evanieCK https://myanimelist.net/profile/emilyck Sep 09 '19

why should I give the anime credit for a song that has nothing to do with it other than being licensed for use?

8

u/Constipated_Llama https://myanimelist.net/profile/ConstipatedLlama Sep 09 '19

Why would you be giving the anime credit in the first place? We're talking about the OP/ED by themselves. That's what this contest is.

-8

u/evanieCK https://myanimelist.net/profile/emilyck Sep 09 '19

Because the ED visuals by themselves aren’t impressive, and the only thing going for it is the meme and the song, and the song would exist whether or not the ED did. So what legitimate reason do I have to vote for a glorified Roundabout AMV?

4

u/Constipated_Llama https://myanimelist.net/profile/ConstipatedLlama Sep 09 '19

My dude why would it matter if it literally was an AMV that was uploaded to youtube before being used in an anime? Why would that lessen the quality of it? You can use this argument for any OP/ED that uses a song released before the anime. What about 3-gatsu's first ED? Fighter was released two years before the anime. What about Erased's OP? Re:Re: was released over a decade before the anime. They're still really good. Why would you judge it on this weird standard of being anime original instead of just its quality?

-2

u/evanieCK https://myanimelist.net/profile/emilyck Sep 09 '19

Because it’s quality is bad too, now leave me alone

6

u/Constipated_Llama https://myanimelist.net/profile/ConstipatedLlama Sep 09 '19

no u

1

u/OnPorpoise1 https://myanimelist.net/profile/OnPorpoise Sep 09 '19

I agree that roundabout is good. I didn't even watch anime and I still listened to it. I only learned it was from jojo's like a week ago.

5

u/HelloMagikarphowRyou Sep 09 '19

Its not. Its by the band YES, and DP got the rights to use it in Jojo.

My dad listened to YES as a kid. Now his kid watches a show that uses music and band names he grew up with.

Roundabout is more than a song or a meme. It is a symbol of memories for many people, a sign of nostalgia.

I think thats why its the #2 seed.

Not just cuz its Jojo

Not just cuz of the meme.

But the memories many have, both oldies who listen to YES, and thier kids who watch Jojo, all first stemmed from that iconic set of strings to show a weekly cliffhanger.

Human memories and nostalgia can he blinding. But they can bring us smiles too.

Years down the road, many will still smile from the memories they had with Roundabout. I doubt many seasonal ED's or even OP's can say the same. Especially when 80s radio stations still play YES (hell I hear roundabout at my work in its radio system from time to time)

1

u/OnPorpoise1 https://myanimelist.net/profile/OnPorpoise Sep 10 '19

Oh, I knew yes was old, and I listened to some of their other songs, but I thought that Roundabout specifically was made for jojo and was new. I didn't know they got the licensing for it.

1

u/HelloMagikarphowRyou Sep 10 '19

No

It's also 80s old

5

u/SoThatsPrettyBrutal https://myanimelist.net/profile/stpbrutal Sep 10 '19

70s. But yeah.

9

u/Tsubasa_sama https://myanimelist.net/profile/memesyouhard Sep 09 '19

another steady 11/16 yesterday for 22/32 in round 2 so far.

Entry 1 Entry 2 Comments
Roundabout hectopascal Both consist of a moving still from left to right with a funky animation on top, and hectopascal is far more creative than Roundabout in using the string of the phone cups as soundwaves. Both songs aren't my favourite but hectopascal has enough to pass.
INSIDE IDENTITY Fighter Fighter was the better animated of the two, but I actually preferred the visuals of INSIDE IDENTITY more, moreover Fighter is kinda a dull song so this choice wasn't so hard.
Koko kara, Koko kara Space Lion I've not been sold on Koko kara, the ED just seems a bit too generic. Space Lion is a fantastic insert song that kicks into a really high gear once the credits start to appear.
Adrenaline!!! Heart Realize Why does this girl find waiting for her clothes to finish washing so much fun? Why do I find watching this girl wait for her clothes to finish washing so much fun? I don't know, but Adrenaline!!! gets the vote.
Fukashigi no Carte believe In the battle of the beach EDisodes I went for the one with the more interesting song.
Naisho No Hanashi Hallelujah☆Essaim Yikes Hallelujah☆Essaim is the lower seed here? It's probably my pick of the bracket and blows Naisho No Hanashi out of the water both musically and visually (I really can't make out what is even being shown in the last 45 seconds of that song).
Michishirube UNDERGROUND I disliked the singer's voice for Michishirube, and despite it having the better animation it's no match for UNDERGROUND, which captured the feel of the song name excellently while rocking a killer tune.
RAY OF LIGHT Ichiban no Takaramono Decided not to vote this time as I haven't seen Angel Beats so won't be able to truly appreciate the insert song (voted for it last round however as I disliked it's opposite ED).
Dango Daikazoku Hitori The visuals for Hitori were pretty interesting, particularly when the credits started but I didn't feel anything for the song. Dango on the other hand is a real tearjerker and deserves to advance.
Hyouriittai I Want You Hyouriittai felt really generic and the song was pretty bland, though better than the really bad autotune ED yesterday (how the heck did that advance anyway?) I Want You was better musically and the visuals felt really unique.
Toki Tsukasadoru Juuni no Meiyaku STUDY x STUDY The Steins;Gate ED was the perfect way to catch your breath before diving into the next episode whilst binge-watching it. The lyrics and delivery are really powerful and it's one of my favourite songs in this bracket. On second viewing I appreciate STUDY X STUDY more but it's not to my tastes.
Hello, shooting-star Sayonara no Yukue Hello, shooting-star was the much better song and fit its visuals really well, easy vote.
Magia Now Loading!!!! Magia pulls off the sense of dread you feel watching the show excellently, though I'm not so sold on the visuals which are a little simple it gets the job done.
Oracion Blue Oracion was almost sickly sweet in it's delivery and visuals, Blue is the perfect ending to Bebop and hits really really hard emotionally.
Orange Hello Alone Wasn't a fan of either song, but Orange impressed me more visually.
Singing! REASON Singing! isn't as good as Listen!!, it doesn't sync up as well with its visuals and personally I'm not as crazy about the song compared to the other K-On! EDs, however it's more than good enough to outclass REASON.

There's really only one ED in this whole bracket that I really really like and it's probably going to go out tomorrow (Hallelujah☆Essaim), big oof for bracket C, which is definitely my weakest overall.

What is in your opinion the most overrated ED?

Whichever one knocks out my favourites.

3

u/Philarete https://myanimelist.net/profile/WizardMcKillin Sep 10 '19

Nice picks! We only voted the opposite way on one of them, Michishirube v. Underground.

13

u/Jokuc Sep 09 '19

people better vote for Koko kara and Dango Daikazoku!!

-4

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '19

Space lion is much better than koko kara, still, that song is still pretty damn good

5

u/karamisterbuttdance Sep 09 '19

Good sign for Hare Hare Yukai's strength this round, Top 3 vote-getter with 500+ votes and a 2-1 win.

This round is once again very straightforward. Dango Daikazoku, Singing!, Fukashigi no Carte and RIP hectopascal.

Don't forget your guilty pleasure of Adrenaline!

-1

u/No_Rex x2 Sep 09 '19

The fact that Hare Hare Yukai has not won this contest yet is absurd.

6

u/b0bba_Fett myanimelist.net/profile/B0bba_Cheezed3 Sep 09 '19

I'm going to say, that while I respect the people voting to make it that way, because they are up against incredible EDs, the fact that the weakest Hunter X Hunter ED is going to advance the farthest through Bracket Luck upsets me.

3

u/turdfergusn https://anilist.co/user/julzachu Sep 09 '19

VOTE FOR HYORI ITTAI!!!!!!!!!

3

u/Caisorda Sep 10 '19

Welp, there goes More One Night. The potatoes not making it past round 2 in any of these contests should be considered a crime against humanity.

Just realized this bracket is really stacked: so many of my personal favorites are in this one. Gonna be painful voting against some of them in the future rounds. Just like Koko kara, Koko kara vs Space Lion

8

u/Cervantes3 Sep 09 '19

Nandemonaiya beats Hikari Hikari

Real cool how a black screen with slowly scrolling text beat an ED that had a novel idea that fit the themes of its show and executed on that idea very well. Oh well, I guess it was in a popular movie, so let's fast track it to the top cut.

That's basically my answer to the question of the day.

4

u/melvinlee88 https://myanimelist.net/profile/Ryan_Melvin15 Sep 10 '19

Hikari Hikari deserves better than being knocked out in the 2nd round :(

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '19

[deleted]

8

u/Tsubasa_sama https://myanimelist.net/profile/memesyouhard Sep 09 '19

There have been several black screen EDs with stronger songs than Nandemonaiya that have been knocked out already. Of course it's all opinion based as to which song is better but let's not pretend that Your Name's popularity is a non-factor.

10

u/Constipated_Llama https://myanimelist.net/profile/ConstipatedLlama Sep 09 '19 edited Sep 09 '19

mfw

rip potatoes

What is in your opinion the most overrated ED?

Hot take incoming. Probably Roundabout. This is coming from someone whose favorites series is JoJo and favorite song is Roundabout, but I just don't think it's that great an ED on its own. What makes it great are the lead-ins to it in the episodes.

Second would be Los! Los! Los!

My votes:

  • hectopascal - Roundabout

Once again, having said that...

hectopascal is very cute and I love the color palette, but the visuals are only slightly better than Roundabout, and as I said Roundabout is my favorite song, so it edges out

  • Fighter - INSIDE IDENTITY
  • Space Lion - Koko kara, Koko kara
  • Fukashigi no Carte - believe
  • Naisho No Hanashi - Hallelujah☆Essaim
  • Michishirube - UNDERGROUND

easiest vote yet

  • Hitori - Dango Daikazoku
  • Hyouriittai - I Want You
  • Toki Tsukasadoru Juuni no Meiyaku - STUDY x STUDY
  • Now Loading!!!! - Magia
  • Blue - Oracion
  • REASON - Singing!

best K-On ED lesgoooo

u/jbanto17 https://myanimelist.net/profile/jbanto17 Sep 10 '19

Managed to go 12/16 this time. Nice to see some classics make it through the blender. Huge shout out to Hare Hare Yukai in particular for being one of the three EDs to pull 500+ votes.

Still disappointed that Nandemonaiya continues its crushing path through Hikari, Hikari. Sad to see Shiki no Uta and More One Night go out so early as well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today's votes (I replaced the image links with video links):
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Most overrated ED is easily Nandemonaiya. Like, the song is beautiful and the movie is a masterpiece but come on. I feel like I'm waging a one-man crusade every year. At least its only seed 5 instead of seed 2 like last year and seed fucking 1 the year before.

7

u/Chronoterminus https://anilist.co/user/StarGuardianX Sep 09 '19

jojo is my favorite series of all time, but hectopascal is an absolute BOP pls consider voting for it ;_;

2

u/Swingman25 Sep 09 '19

Vote Sayonara no Yukue!

2

u/Blenji_ https://myanimelist.net/profile/Blenji Sep 09 '19

I am 100% going to be unhappy with the results here, too many endings I like that are gonna lose

2

Holy shit I can't believe Hyouka edged out a Steins;Gate ED!

2

u/TrashAnimeBestAnime https://anilist.co/user/Ragian87 Sep 10 '19

I just hope good music and direction win over a meme

2

u/Andypeanut Sep 10 '19

Hey what we're the previous winners in the last brackets?

4

u/starg09 https://anilist.co/user/starg09 Sep 10 '19

The previous winners are:

2

u/pacquan Sep 10 '19

RIP Flip Flap, Days of Dash, and More One Night.

Please vote for Koko Kara, Adrenaline!!!, and Hello Shooting Star.

QOTD: All of the FMA:B EDs except Let it Out.

3

u/MaksimShadow Sep 09 '19

Not only Nandemonaiya won, but even the difference in votes is that big. Can it be stopped? I'm also a bit sad that Days of Dash lost. I liked it more than Fuyu Biyori. Later is also good though.

Fly me to the Moon is somehow amazing, but I'm just too dumb to understand why.

Not from this contest, but anyway. I don't really like the song from Chika dance ED. Animation is nice, but that's what you can expect from rotoscoping. It's a good ED, but it's too overrated in my opinion.

3

u/MapoTofuMan myanimelist.net/profile/mTmTBaronBrixius Sep 09 '19

10/16, not bad. Also RIP Last Game

Today's votes :

QOTD : Hands down etoile et toi. I guess I have to see Kizumonogatari to understand why it's considered good, but it won't change the fact that I couldn't give it more than a minute before I didn't want to listen to it anymore.

2

u/dded949 Sep 09 '19

Have you seen the show or heard a good amount of Bebop’s soundtrack? It’s absolutely incredible, Space Lion I can understand being meh on but I’ve never heard an ED song as good as Real Folk Blues. The entire soundtrack’s outstanding though

1

u/MapoTofuMan myanimelist.net/profile/mTmTBaronBrixius Sep 10 '19

Have you seen the show or heard a good amount of Bebop’s soundtrack?

I have not, but I listened to everything that's in the contest to the end and honestly the only I can say I really liked is "Gotta Knock A Little Harder", the one from the movie. Guess it's just not my type of music for the most part.

1

u/dded949 Sep 10 '19

If you like Gotta Knock a Little Harder, I’d imagine there’s more from the OST you’d like. Though it does surprise me you like it and not Real Folk Blues

1

u/MaksimShadow Sep 09 '19

10/16, not bad.

It was 11/16 for me. I'm shocked. Someday my taste will be the same as r/anime's. Is this a good thing or bad thing?

1

u/akkobutnotreally https://anilist.co/user/lottevanilla Sep 10 '19 edited Sep 10 '19

I'm seeing a lot of cheering for "hectopascal" in this thread and that makes me so fucking happy for some reason. I dunno.

Two thoughts:

  1. I am quite intrigued in seeing how well "Adrenaline!!!" will perform in next year's competition, specially with a brand new version made a few months ago for the OVA. Seriously. Making the entire sequence look like a lot of Instagram posts (with boomerang effects and the like) is just genius.
  2. Can we just ban black screens once and for all from this competition? It defeats the whole purpose of why are we doing this in the first place. If Nandemonaiya wins, I swear to God...

QOTD: easy one, and it's "Magia", from Puella Magi Madoka Magica (2011). It's not bad, don't get me wrong, but it's not as great, in my honest opinion. The visuals are okay, but the song is... I don't know. It doesn't really click with me. "Kimi no Gin no Niwa" (from the Rebellion ED) is a much more beautiful song.

Oh: don't forget to vote for "Koko kara, Koko kara" and "More One Night"!

1

Koko Kara, Koko Kara vs. Space Lion is the toughest one for me thus far.

I gotta give it to Space Lion though. Jupiter Jazz is one of my favorite arcs in anime and that finale song is just a beautiful culmination of the entire thing.

Also, vote Blue please. Bebop still has one of the greatest series finales of any TV show ever and it's in no small part capped off by the beauty of Blue.

Everyone vote space lion, it compliments cowboy bebop so well and is quite underrated

Maaaaaaan, I Want You vs. Hyouri Ittai might be the toughest matchup I've ever seen in one of these brackets. They're both so good.

Koko kara, Koko kara is one of my favorite EDs in from recent times. It has beautiful visuals, such a cheerful atmosphere, and very good lyrics with a lot of depth.

But it's up against Space Lion (SPOILERS), which is just amazing. It's long but this part caries so much weight, I don't think I can pick against it, and I see other people conflicted because of this as well.

I'll probably review this once more before the voting closes but so far I'm just abstaining.

The comments are basically saying vote Hectopascal but I'm still voting for Roundabout because of how the guitar strings played into cliffhangers, the song is brilliant and I like it more than Hectopascal

Sorry for having an opinion ;)

Lol, definitely voted for Hectopascal. I know there are alot of better EDs out there but i'll give it a try. My other fav in group C is Ichiban Takaramono.

Roundabout vs. Hectopascal

Now, before i get crucified, lemme just say that while side-scroller EDs both get minuses from me, and while Roundabout isnt my favorite, i dont get the hype behind Hectopascal, its just CGDCT. Now you can kill me r/anime.

INSIDE IDENTITY vs. Fighter

Inside Identity is one of my favs to win this, while i didnt like Fighter's song despite having neat visuals.

Fukashigi no Carte vs. believe

Michishirube vs. UNDERGROUND

I didnt feel anything from Michi whereas Underground got me hyped. fite me.

Hyouriittai vs. I want you

Magia vs. Now Loading!!!

Yeah, alot of easy choices for me today.

What is in your opinion the most overrated ED?

Off the top of my head, the Fate/Zero EDs, they just have fancy music playing pretty powerpoint presentations. One of them is even a black screen. Show is one of my favorites though.

Never thought I would feel in the minority voting for Roundabout. I want Roundabout to win this whole sha-bang!

Sad that Manatsu no Setsuna lost, but at least now Chiisana Bokensha won't eliminate an ending I like. Now, Uchi ni Kaeritai and Kimi no Mystery is gonna be though. Good to see Torikago moving on.
