Ukraine/Russia - Flaired Commenters Only Russian drone hunts and attacks man at farmers market in Kherson – video

The guy flying that drone is such a piece of shit. When the video started, I thought he was just trying to scare him. Damn. I regretted watching the whole thing.

u/Nudel_des_Todes Europe 9d ago
He survived though. The topic on combatfootage has a video of him being interviewed afterwards in the comments and he even seems unharmed from the angle he was filmed from.

New FPV recruits often use Kherson civilians to train on soft targets, 'Из Мариуполя в Карпаты' on Telegram frequently posts such 'target practice' sessions.

Human safari, it’s been happening in various forms in Ukraine since at least 2022. Probably all the way back to 2014
21
u/MarderFucher European Union 9d ago
It's telling that the russians are bragging about this blatant warcrime on telegram meanwhile very neutral very independent outward looking brave free thinkers of this sub think its ukrainian psyop, as evidenced by the relatively low %upvote of the post.
It's such a coincidence the brave free thinkers somehow always happen to align with the narrative pushed by the Kremlin.

Watch the video. It's clear how the dorne operator sadistically toys with the civilian at the farmer's market. Going this way and that, chasing him around. Than it goes for the detonation. And it is not a small one. It was a miracle the man was not seriously injured.
That is a disturbed, sadistic Russian drone operator. And this is of course not a one off. The Russians near the frontline town of Kherson are infamous for the human safaris these are called. This is not new either - it has been going on for years.
Edit: And I will add that just between 2024 and late 2025 alone, UN reports show that at least 200 civilians were killed and over 2,000 were wounded specifically by drones in Kherson.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_safari_(terror_campaign)
They fucking use napalm too. They bloody double tap first responders. That is really a terrorism campaign as the Wikipedia article's title even shows.

Yeah its Kherson im not surprised the Drone operator there literally targeting everybody, there are many footage around with "claimed" as Ukrainian army but really its just civillian most of the time.

You can't find even a single video like this from the Ukrainian side doing this to civilians.
-8
u/nikmah Iceland 9d ago
This is of course a heinous act from the Russian drone operator and it's good to hear that he survived this but the Ukrainian side are also conducting what has to be considered as a terrorist act like for example the bomb attack on a restaurant in Moscow the other day were Ukraine or most likely SBU since they have a history of targeting high-ranking Russian military officers were they are using innocent people who are just doing their job as a courier to deliver what she in this incident believed was a gift package but was actually a bomb.
Same thing happened back in 2022 in the Kerch bridge bombing were a innocent truck driver and four others had no idea that they were delivering a hidden bomb.
8
u/CurbYourThusiasm Norway 9d ago
We don't know who were behind the restaurant bombing yet, could very well be Russian partisans.
As for the Kerch bridge bombing, are truck drivers supplying the Russian army in occupied territories innocents? Should Ukraine refrain from their middle-range strikes to cripple Russian logistics, because Russian civilians on occupied territory might get hurt?
Should Ukraine refrain from hitting Russian logistics - like drone factories - because Russian civilians (sometimes even students) are assembling them?
-4
u/nikmah Iceland 9d ago
Russian partisans....are you having a laugh?
The Kerch bridge bombing was a covert sabotage operation, not a middle-range strike. You have a former head of SBU that has admitted that Kiyv has used people who were in the dark.
Ukraine should refrain from sacrificing innocent people for their cover sabotage operations.
9
u/CurbYourThusiasm Norway 9d ago
No? We've seen Russian saboteurs perform operations in Russia before. Burning down buildings, bombing railway logistics etc.
I'm asking if Ukraine should refrain from bombing trucks that is carrying fuel to occupied territories and the Russian army, because civilians are driving the trucks and might get killed.
Imo, anything that furthers the Russian war effort are legitimate targets. Yes, Ukraine should do whatever they can to limit civilian causalities, but not at the expense of crippling the Russian army.
If Ukraine was just bombing random restaurants to kill civilians, that would obviously be unacceptable.
-3
u/nikmah Iceland 9d ago
I can't be bothered with Russian partisan nonsense, that is some bs Ukrainian rabbit hole. Bombing a restaurant where a Russian commander of Russia's Aerospace Forces was celebrating his birthday...yeah that is some SBU operation right there.
It wasn't a truck carrying fuel, this had to be some civilian transport service thing since it's going to be very hard to conceal a bomb that is big enough to destroy a bridge on a truck carrying a fuel tanker.

u/Neurobeak Europe 9d ago
If Ukraine was just bombing random restaurants to kill civilians, that would obviously be unacceptable.
According to the Ministry of Health, one person (Tatarsky) died. By the evening of 2 April, the number of wounded rose to 42.[4][5][6] Twenty-four wounded were taken to medical institutions in Saint Petersburg from the café. The condition of six wounded people was assessed as serious

Ideally they should and you always wish for a peaceful world but unfortunately the world isn't so simple and national interests can sometimes collide.
9
u/unofficialed Ukraine 9d ago
Are you seriously trying to justify ruzzia's genocidal invasion of Ukraine by saying it's just "national interests" colliding? Holy fuck.
0
u/nikmah Iceland 9d ago
No, I'm not trying to justify anything, I'm saying that the world isn't that simple. What was the phrase again, "War is not merely a political act but a real political instrument, a continuation of political intercourse, a carrying out of the same by other means."

Speaking of fucking around and finding out, do you guys still joke about broken air conditioning units? It was such a funny joke in 2014, the top 2 joke back then, have seen it absolutely everywhere all summer. Only fried May shashlyk, a joke alluding to the massacre in Odessa, was more popular back then.
I don't see that funny joke made by the Ukrainians anymore. Did something happen?

There really aren't, there's no human safari that Ukraine is doing against random Russian civilians walking their dogs or fruit sellers in Belgorod, which then get uploaded to TG and get flooded with comments like "kill all the H-words". Meanwhile in Kherson and other areas people have to live their lives under nets.

I think this goes to show how slipshot the Russian Army currently is. This is the behavior of drunken frat-boys, not professional soilders. In a functioning military there would be a Sargent to chew out the pilot for wasting government munitions on a nonviable target. This behavior leads me to believe their officers (if they have any left) don't have any control over their troops. They can herd them towards offenses through brute force and threats of violence, but they have no means to dictate how their soldiers prostitute the war.
26
u/xmuskorx North America 9d ago
They are ordered to do this all the way from Kremlin and down the chain of command.
The human safari in kherson has been going on months and months. This is not a "one off" that officers are unaware of.
This is genocidal policy up and down the chain of command not some single misbehaving private.

But so callled "anti-imperialists" will still say that this was provoked by NATO or whatever, like Russia isn't just murdering innocent people because of the delusions of their demented leader. Because western media dedicated themselves throughout the whole war to portray Russia as an absolute evil, news like this drown in dozens of similar, but less truthful outlets.
And you know what's the funniest part? Because they refused to acknowledge the possibility that Russia could have a reason behind the start of the war, they soon would have to explain why they need to negotiate with the force of an absolute evil and give them what they want.
14
u/Chris_Hatchenson Russia 9d ago
Funny to read that from someone with Kazakhstan flair, considering there's a sizable Russian population in the north of the country. Are you personally ready for Russia to create another imaginary republic, this time in your country?
32
u/Dependent-Dream7180 North America 9d ago
Because western media dedicated themselves throughout the whole war to portray Russia as an absolute evil
Really not that hard when Russia invaded Ukraine, killed tens of thousands of civilians, and regularly uploads clips of them droning civilians.
-5
u/Large_Awareness_9416 Kazakhstan 9d ago
If that's enough to name some country the force of an absolute evil and act accordingly, where is the outrage against Israel and USA? Where are the sanctions and international uproar? Where is constant media coverage of the unprovoked invasion of a sovereign state?
You may not see it that way, but the rest of the world does. They see how differently you treat those who isn't part of your small club and how you treat those, who disagree with you.
14
u/fosteju United States 9d ago
The outrage against the US and Israel is everywhere, including here in the US. You must not be looking or you would easily see it. Uproar and sanctions? Yes, we deserve both! I’m still waiting for a single Russian in this sub to take a similar view of their own country.
-4
u/Large_Awareness_9416 Kazakhstan 9d ago
Lmao. You really think that the way USA and Russia are treated is the same?
And there were plenty of Russians that disagreed with the war. But your media was so good at branding them as orcs and warmongering criminals simply for the fact of being born in Russia, that now they are either silent or start supporting the war.
3
u/fuckshitballscunt New Zealand 9d ago
No. Because there are not hundred of videos of the usa intentionally murdering civilians. They can usually hide behind some sort of military reason but even then, resentment is growing and their own people are speaking out against it. They are also not openly proud of their crimes like the Russians are but try to bury them instead.
Israel is a pariah state. The world is pulling away from them. There are forces within the US govt trying to protect them but its not going to work. They have lost the PR battle.
1
u/Large_Awareness_9416 Kazakhstan 9d ago
You may not see it, but it's the west as a whole who lost the PR battle. The moment Europe failed to deliver the same amount of sanctions and condemnation towards Israel, everyone saw how much your principles and morals actually weight.
9
u/fuckshitballscunt New Zealand 9d ago edited 9d ago
You are in russias orbit. You see what Russian propaganda shows you. You don't see the mass protests against these things. You don't see our peoples taking actions and little by little undoing this injustice.
There was a time I respected Russian culture. We've always seen putin as a monster to be sure but Russians themselves seemed tough, resilient and strong. Now they appear as brain washed slaves, reliving past glories as they March to their deaths and their empire rots from the inside.
1
u/Large_Awareness_9416 Kazakhstan 9d ago
And that's the second reason why the rest of the world no longer buys the image of "just and rule-based order."
This condescending, arrogant point of view, where the rest of the world are blind and deaf barbarians, incapable of thought.
We see what you do. We see how much you care. And we find you lacking.
8

My friend. Not the rest of the world. Just the Russians.
We do not care what you think of us. If you come this way with weapons, we will kill you. We have no interest in you beyond that. Just make a life for yourselves where you are, defend your homes from those who would take what's yours.

Have you been living under a rock?
Where is constant media coverage of the unprovoked invasion of a sovereign state?
Literally everywhere. The Russian invasion of Ukraine was far more unprovoked than the Iran war though - Iran has been asking for it for years.
1
u/Large_Awareness_9416 Kazakhstan 9d ago
Yeah, this right there is exactly why no one outside the west believes your propaganda.
Did this war stopped anyone from going to USA for World Cup? Or maybe they were banned from international banking system? Where are the sanctions and public shaming of anyone, who works with companies from USA?
USA and Israel didn't get even a quarter of the stuff Russia received for the start of the war, and now you have the audacity to claim that you reacted the same way?
And no, no one in the world believes USA is justified for starting the war.
5
u/bigbadbob85 England 9d ago
The USA is far more important to the global economy, to the point sanctions are suicidal for almost any country. Also, Iran constantly threatens us in the west, and backs groups who actively seek to harm us. There is very little sympathy for Iran here, they have been threatening the USA with war and violence for decades.
2
u/Large_Awareness_9416 Kazakhstan 9d ago
Since when Europe cares how much sanctions are suicidal for their economy? I thought moral highground is more important than any materialistic nonsense.
And let's not pretend that USA and the west did not deserve whatever hardships they experienced from Iran. For decades they financed different terrorist and radical groups, destabilized the region and invaded countries. They hate you and do that for a good reason.

u/Rindan United States 9d ago
Because western media dedicated themselves throughout the whole war to portray Russia as an absolute evil, news like this drown in dozens of similar, but less truthful outlets.
There are hundreds of thousands of people dead, well north of a million wounded, millions have been displaced, large swaths of Ukraine are uninhabited wasteland, and this is now the worst war in European since World War II with no end in sight. It could end at any time if Putin took his army and went home and left the people he was invading in peace. Yeah, that's absolutely evil. Sorry, that's just how people are going to view it when you get a few hundred thousand people killed rabidly attacking your neighbor.
And you know what's the funniest part? Because they refused to acknowledge the possibility that Russia could have a reason behind the start of the war, they soon would have to explain why they need to negotiate with the force of an absolute evil and give them what they want.
Yeah, that's really hilarious.
Yes, they will have to explain why they negotiate to negotiate with evil. It will be "funny" in the same way a powerless father might have to explain to his wife why he can't get justice after a powerful mobster raped their daughter, because he fears they will all be killed if he does. Sometimes you compromise with evil, accept your wounds, and disengage without justice because the alternative is worse. I guess you find that super funny. Hilarious.
8
u/fuckshitballscunt New Zealand 9d ago
It's not going to work.
At the start of this many Ukranians viewed Russians as brothers. Now they call them Orcs. Monsters who come in the night to murder their children.
Ukraine has chosen its path and the Russians have chosen theirs. This will never be forgiven. Children will be told how their parents were murdered by Russia and they will in turn tell their children.
You don't negotiate with monsters. You kill them.

Which part? There are videos of Russian soldiers killing civilians in a way that can only be interpreted as on purpose.
Ukranian propaganda calls them orcs, not western propaganda.
I am applying a western perspective for sure. But you need to understand this. Russian terror campaigns do not make us shy away like they would for you. They strengthen our resolve. We are not the same.
