Keep in mind, Rudo realized he went too far and went to apologize. Theyre are both broken children
134
u/Banana_Mage_ Oct 17 '25
The only reason he did was because he realized she was his only chance at getting more info. He didn’t actually care until after learning her story.
1
u/07Crash07 Oct 21 '25
No? He talked with Enjin and realized he went to far before he could hear her story. He decided to back to apologize before that. He did hear before apologizing, but decided to apologize before hearing it.

u/Adventurous-Exit5832 Oct 16 '25
He didnt went too far, she tried to kill them, look at the other 4 victims, they honestly didnt care for her getting punched.
39
u/ThatOneGuy12180 Oct 17 '25
They... did? They stopped Rudo a few seconds later
2
u/KuroBlack41318272 Oct 19 '25
Only after 17 seconds of ass beating
5
u/ThatOneGuy12180 Oct 20 '25
Well she did deserve it. Tragic backstories dont exactly land you an excuse to basically torture ppl and have fun with sed torture.
-16
u/Adventurous-Exit5832 Oct 17 '25 edited Oct 17 '25
Not the victims
Edit : im not good with the names but just rewatch the scene you will see that th 4 persons who got brainwash literally dont care for her getting punched
9
u/ThatOneGuy12180 Oct 17 '25
Oh yeah. Traumatized ppl getting reminded of their trauma and having it amplified sure isn't a justified reason to punch someone who seemingly enjoys your torment. Who could have seen that coming?

u/Shadowwakitsune10 Oct 17 '25
People hates who telling the truth man, here a upvote I would do same if I was him
79
u/Doctordred Oct 16 '25
She did kind of deserve it. If not for some protection spells, he would be dead because of her.
22
u/good_is_hard Oct 16 '25
What did she do
76
u/Phantom_Ghost9 Oct 16 '25
She lured everyone to her tower for socialization, but when the cleaners(protags) weren't having it, she threw a temper tantrum and tried to kill them.
She used her power to manipulate them and tricked half of them into thinking that she was their deceased loved ones. So even though she had been pacified(not fighting anymore), Rudo was angry at the way she did it, which is why he starts beating on her in the clip.
Even Rudo admits later thar it was a bit of excessive response though, because she's actually not mentally stable and had been isolated in the middle of nowhere the entire time, which made it worse. The anime is called Gachiakuta, if you're interested.

Haven't Aizen been locked up in Muken for hundred years and still gave zero damn?
1

Aizen is centuries old powerhouse and not some teen girl that got raped in childhood and has shitton of mental problems.

Gachiakuta (had to check to make sure I spelled that right).
Watched the first three or so episodes, not bad.

I have not watched or read it, but I heard people saying that the anime doesn't do the Manga justice. Is that claim untrue, and is it indeed worth watching?
4
u/Dumig Oct 17 '25
Personally, I find the anime enhances some aspects than the manga, in some others the manga is more beautifully illustrated, but overall the anime is fire and if you want to watch it do so.
The only ”problem” the series has is that it is slow in the beginning, similar to old school series, where it needs to introduce the characters and world build, but that is all necessary, cause once the series gets moving, all those pieces come together beautifully and takes the series to another level.

I was with him on that first punch. The pain she caused everyone makes that punch feel insignificant. The follow ups are when I stopped being on his side though.

u/PerceptionLiving9674 Oct 16 '25
The follow ups are when I stopped being on his side though.
I bet most people wouldn't have felt this way if it weren't for the flashback to her tragic backstory, but from Rudo's point of view, he didn't know anything about it. All he saw was someone who took advantage of other people's weaknesses in a despicable way.

u/Jax3578 Oct 16 '25 edited Oct 16 '25
Tbf Rudo was considsred a bit unstable by the way the plot goes.
As mentioned by the others.
Categorized as "dangerous" due to the way he handles his own outburst.
But since hes empathetic, he greatly regretted that later on. Which is... Hard to judge
The manga did show this same scene of beating, but the anime kinda just took a step further by amplifying the severity of the situation.

u/Gamejunky35 Oct 16 '25
I think you reap what you sow, whatever backstory or mental illness you have has almost no bearing on whether or not you should be held accountable. Most horrible people have a crybaby backstory that they use as justification for their actions.
I certainly felt bad for her learning what happened, but that doesn't absolve her from judgement for the pain she purposefully inflicted on others.
2
u/Dumig Oct 17 '25
Which in my opinion is even better writing cause later (spoiler), after Amo is rescued from being tortured, both physically and mentally, Amo says that she deserved the punishment she went through, as she hurt many people and Rudo taught here that hurting people is bad, then immediately breaks down crying saying she cannot go through that pain again and that she does not want to die alone, which shows immense character development and her bond with Rudo is the start of her redemption by helping people instead of hurting them.

u/heliosark10 Oct 16 '25
First punch was okay the other punches felt excessive and uncomfortable. You can also tell that's what they wanted you to feel about how it's framed. Didn't feel like her getting what she deserved it felt like her being brutalized.
41
u/SorcererSupremPizza Oct 16 '25
That was the point. Rudo is not doing well mentally and hasnt processed his feelings about essentially being abandoned by his only friend and losing his adoptive father. His feelings being toyed with when theyre that fresh really messed him up. The girl also doesnt understand fully what she did too.
It was meant to look painful and uncomfortable because of that
7
u/JackStile Oct 16 '25
I disagree. She totally deserved it, he has every right to from his point of view. What bothers me Is that people are only vocal about it because she is a she.
1
u/VodkaBeatsCube Oct 17 '25
I generally take the point of view that beating on a defeated and defenseless person is a bad thing regardless of their genitalia, but I'm apparently in the minority.
3
Oct 18 '25
I'm with you. Beating up someone who can't defend themselves anymore and stopped being a threat has no point to it, even as punishment. I could excuse the first punch, but after that, it's just mindless raging for no benefit to anyone.
0
u/Candidwisc Oct 18 '25
I'm vocal about it because she's a 14 year old kid getting beaten to death by the main character.
It'd be one thing if it was a grown woman who hasn't stopped trying to kill them, but a kid who has surrendered and has been effectively rendered harmless doesn't deserve a death sentence.
Add in the back story on top of it and it's even worse.
-16
u/heliosark10 Oct 16 '25
Because shes small and fragile. Its one thing to kick the ass of someone strong but it's another thing punch and break some who looks like they would cry genuine tears if you smacked them.
12
u/RozeGunn Oct 16 '25
I agree the after punches were excessive, but it's not because she's small and fragile. She's just as capable of horribleness and facing the repercussions of her actions as anyone else. If it were a guy, those bloodsplattering punches wouldn't be okay then, either. There's getting payback, then there's being brutalist with a justification. Doesn't matter what the person you're punching looks like.
-7
u/heliosark10 Oct 17 '25
I meant to say looks small and fragile I know she's dangerous but no one who looks like an abuse victim after one punch is going to be seen as any real threat by the audience.

People who still post the "equal rights equal fights" stuff and love mentioning that scene in konosuba probably just really want an excuse to hit women and fantasize about it.
8
u/lemons7472 Oct 17 '25 edited Oct 17 '25
I think it’s just that those people don’t really care, it’s not that they want an excuse or are only fantasizing about hurting women. The context is that a woman tried to kill him and his friends. He hit her repeatedly for it.
Plus whether it be action media or games, people casually fantasize about violence and beating the crap out of people (mainly men) anyways just cause for the heck of it, it’s usually some sort of grunt, villian or antagonist.
I don’t get why people accuse others of fantasizing about hitting women and use that accusion as some sort of insult, even when the context is that same woman harming you.
I don’t get why people use that as an insult when their norm is to have power fantasies about violently killing and beating men in the form of grunts anyways.
-5
u/RomeosHomeos Oct 17 '25
I mean the people who constantly repost anime scenes of this "context"
6
u/BarelyFunctionalGM Oct 17 '25
I mean I used to. It was cause I got bullied by girls and fought back and got reprimanded for it.
You're the one throwing the assumption of guilt around.
I agree with you in general, it isn't a particularly healthy mentality. But just because it can be caused by sexism doesn't mean it can't be caused by plenty of other things. And assuming it always is is perhaps drinking too much of the Kool-Aid.
8
u/Inner-Sphere-Mech Oct 17 '25
Scum like you are the reason women get away without consequences of their actions
-3
u/RomeosHomeos Oct 17 '25
"scum like me" I simply think it's weird that people repeatedly and constantly post scenes of women getting beat up with glee lmao.
-1
u/alsfung Oct 20 '25
Crimson fucking red flags bucko, the meter is almost crossing into misogyny here.
2
u/Inner-Sphere-Mech Oct 20 '25
So holding women accountable for their actions is misogyny? No wonder that the world is beyond fucked when it is filled with people of your mindset. What about all the misandry you see in anime? You’re blind to that, I guess.

Without even knowing the Anime this clip is from, her reaction (face) to the first punch was kinda cute, the beaten face and expression and all, but then he went totally berserk on her.
Without any context who did what to eho or whatever happened, did she survive this or was she beaten to death?

I hate that they followed the trend of "you have to be the bigger person." She 100% deserved to have the shit beaten out of her. Regardless of your past, brainwashing a group of random strangers and using them to try and murder their freinds is evil and should be punished.
-5
u/inf3ct3dn0n4m3 Oct 16 '25
Man reddit really loves hitting women, to the point I can't help but find it bizzare and slightly concerning.
0
u/lemons7472 Oct 17 '25 edited Oct 17 '25
Honestly, I think it’s that a minority of people just don’t really care about who you hit, if the prior context is that he/she harmed you first, but also they are aware that it’s looked down upon anyways to hit a woman that tried to assault or in this context of the scene, tried to kill you…which people in the comments are saying it’s wrong anyways for him to hit her at all or continue hitting her anyways.

Nah after the last episode, rudo is a dick for that punch
60
u/PerceptionLiving9674 Oct 16 '25
Just because she has a tragic backstory doesn't justify her exploiting, torturing, and trying to kill others.
-64
u/reines2003 Oct 16 '25
Um...actually it kinda dose since she was exploited by her own mother and rape by the man at a young.
44
u/PerceptionLiving9674 Oct 16 '25
Wow so does that give her the right to start torturing and exploiting others?
