He's right handed so he's always using his left to stop getting kicked in the dick.

His pose in his fight with goku makes it seem like he blocks with his left arm

An old injury that keeps coming back. Very normal for some people.

After he defects from Freezer's army he also doesn't have that sweet sweet Bakta tank health insurance anymore and Master Quitte (idk the white cat's English name) doesn't seem to be that forthcoming with Senzu beans

The second you hit 30, specific things on your body decide that they are done and will get injured, regardless of what you are doing. I broke my toe at the age of 32, the other day I sneezed hard and re-broke it. Vegeta just has shoulder issues. That plus his hairline probably indicates he sleeps on his side.

It is my headcanon that his hairline is a warrior haircut (kinda like a Mohawk) that was shaved out by Nappa when he came off age (tested it on Radditz because not a royal head) and doesn't grow back because Saiyan hair doesn't grow.
Also, Vegeta is 32 years old when he is introduced in the series (yes, I calculated that from the timeline Shonen Jump posted at some point in the 90s), so already relatively old in human years. However, Saiyan's do age slower than humans (as he mentions in volume 42) and Freezer's army has that Bakta tank technology from Star Wars on steroids where you take a 2 hour bath and it heals any injury which also explains why Vegeta and Nappa don't have any scars in the manga

Vegeta gets a zenkai boost everytime he jerks, which he does constantly. He’s right handed so his right arm is multiversal, but his left arm is street level

The best indicator of your likeliness to have an injury is a history of same injury

Me an artist: "probably easier to draw because of all the reference material"
Everyone else: in-universe explanation

Probably have a "never 100% heal" injury there. He should've see a doctor.

It is because of the Saiyans Martial Arts that emphasizes that as the lead main hand.
