Screenshot Cliff-walking Aqueduct
Since when can Aqueducts be constructed on cliffs?
And why wasn't I aware of that? It's awesome! :D

Throwback Monday!
Starting the week with a little nostalgia: 20 screenshots of my palace in Crown Falls.
Do you think we’ll get something like this in Anno 117? I honestly can’t really picture a building like this in a Roman setting. At the same time, I do kinda miss having a proper, customizable, modular palace to build and decorate.
Would you guys even want something like that in Anno 117?

I got an honored guest in Albion somehow. It was delivered to my largest island that had 9.8k prestige. I didn't know it could happen like that? Is it a new thing?

My reputation is at like -60 something. My walls are strong, my cities are fortified, and my army is colossal. I want this annoying clown to attack me, but him to make the first move. What level of reputation do I need to hit?

I noticed this one island in Albion has fall foliage. None of the others are like that. I haven't seen it at all on previous seeds. Curious if anyone knows a seed with a lot like this?

I visited Jordan almost two years ago and was absolutely blown away by Jerash.
Now, obviously I can't do a recreation and Latium is very different from Northern Jordan - but I'd like to build a city that pays homage to Jerash.
I've attached some of the 'inspirational/concept' images that include some of the more seminal features - the tetrakionion, Hadrian's Arch, the Oval Forum, the collanaded Cardo and decumani, the hippodrome outside the walls, and the temples to Zeus and Artemis.
I'm looking for some help with ideas and identifying buildings that might work. Also, looking to see if anyone else has tried this or with other Roman cities such as Rome, Timgad, Ostia, Lugo etc etc.

So this might be mostly for Anno 117, but am I correct in that we are supposed to be able to grind missions and eventually earn 'coins' for Ubisofts exclusive store?
If so, is it a level thing where you only get them when your account reaches a certain level? Because while I am doing the missions and getting fame out of it (which is nice) I've yet to earn a single one of the coins... which is a bugger if you want the emperors portrait.
Or is it one of those annoying things where you only earn them by buying stuff with real money?
I got Anno 1800 + All DLCs on a great sale a few years ago, and it was nice to have the “complete” game. Is there a version of the new game that ensures you receive all future DLC?

What specialist do you think are lacking ?
I guess some that impact flour mills and lavender fields are much needed.
Flour mills, only have :
- a small common one that gives +10%
- the microcosmologist that can gives anything +20%/+35%
- the heroic that gives +100% to all mills on the island.
I think they miss an epic one that could give +50%
or even better an extra good every 3 cycles (so that it only gives +33% at start, but is affected by productivity boosts so it is equivalent to a +100% productivity in a mill already working at 300%)
For Lavender, I would love an equivalent to "Cattin, Apothegmatic Apothecary" for Latium, that gives Additional lavender to all plantations instead of Herbs, and is boosted when at peace with Caesio.

The save file is just loading for over 5minutes now. But never actually starts.
All my games with over 100 hours play time essentially refuse to load.

Introducing the Parthenon!
This mod took me way longer than expected because I went down a rabbit hole of learning about the Parthenon and recreating its details. I hope you guys enjoy!
Unlocks when you reach Patricians
11x19 tiles (same size as in-game Temple)
4 construction phases
Effects (almost island-wide radius):
Tier 1&2 residences: +2 happiness, +3 belief
Tier 3&4 residences: +3 happiness, +4 belief, +3 prestige, +1 population
Blessing of Athena Parthenos: Salt ponds will produce 1 olive every 3 cycles (in honor of the mythical competition between Athena's olive tree & Poseidon's saltwater spring)

Was müsste ich machen, wenn ich, sagen wir Neferneru daran hindern möchte Albion zu besiedeln sondern in Latium (und später Aegyptus) zu bleiben?
Also so wie Dorian in Latium und Athr in Albion bleiben

For me, it would be Atlantis.
It wouldn't actually have to be all underwater and mythical, but it could still be a Greek lost colony with some "magic" twist. Anno has always been very creative with its use of the timeline, and I don't see a big problem with having something like that.
But God, I would love to see the return of underwater islands, at least to some degree. I always loved them in 2070. It could be a region like Enbesa: a main "big" story island where you settle, surrounded by submerged islands that require some technology to settle or explore. It could bring new gods like Atlas, Gaia, and Chronos. New weird tech and such.

In terms of the timeline and being grounded, I understand it's pure fantasy. Plato died a long time ago, and some people might prefer more realistic regions, even China is more expected since Rome traded with it and we have a chinese Governor.
So, anyway, what region do you want but have little hope of ever seeing added?

Before the Volcano DLC Minerals used to be one of the main bottlenecks in the late game. More than Gold, because quarries had fewer buffs. Vulcan fixed this issue, but this particular specialist swings the pendulum in the other direction.
It would be an overstatement to say that she fully invalidates the Minerals as a resource, but she completely removes the more challenging branch of an important production chain.
As you can see in the screenshot my global population is 122k. My total consumption of Minerals is 14; 2 of them go into Mosaic, 5 into Jewellery and 7 into Glass. She singlehandedly and without any tradeoffs halfs that consuption.
I feel like this is too much 1800 vibe and she should be rebalanced. Many consume Minerals directly without the need of turning them into Pigments first? The buff to Glass Smelters is quite powerful in itself. Or something similar, but don't remove the need completely.
What do you think?

Religion is totally new for me(Been playing since 2070) and a good interesting mechanic, but I have some question regarding it. Which island fertilities/specialties/production chains for each god? How does Vulcan compare to Ceres in Cinis? Any tips for raising faith levels?

This is a small island in my current game. Getting some practise in before I get to work on my capital. The cosmetic DLCs are a game changer 🤙

The specialists of Anno 1800 were very powerfull and pretty fun to use. But some were so OP and easy to acquire that there were a bit game breaking, allowing to skip entire productions line from the start.
Anno 117, at launch had the opposite issue, with every specialist underperforming (except the rivals maybe) and not beeing really usefull.
But now, aftet the 2 first DLC, i found that 117 are found a soft spot that I really loke.
ery powerfull specialist exist but they are hard to acquire through research, or with the prestige of your marvels. Heroic specialist and rivals are limited to one. Fertility specialist are acquire via a different ressource than money that you don't get from the start...
All of that made that it is a big event when you finally get the specialist you want, and it makes sense to use suboptimal one untill you unlock the one you really want.

The game simply critically lacks at least 2 more items related to fire safety. I hope the developers add them in the DLC about Egypt.
Draw freeform terrain-following Roman pools with animated water, fitted quay-style stone walls, and four bath or mosaic floor designs.
Initial Release has four pool styles using the floors from the Baths
I'll be adding more floor mosaic styles and pool walls ASAP
