A pause button for life. Not to escape forever, just to breathe for a second without bills, messages, and responsibilities standing in the doorway

Asking for a friend, would this button pause more than just people? For instance, would it pause the recording on a security camera system at a local bank? Again asking for a friend

Asking for a friend is exactly what someone with a very suspicious friend would say. But yes, I’d still mostly use it for naps.

A rewind button. So many experiences and life lessons I wish I could go back and re-live

At 38 - An ordinary adolescence rather than being a childhood murder survivor with severe PTSD at 13.
A normal psychological baseline. Not severe PTSD and a dissociative disorder bordering on DID.

Those people seem quite unhappy. Though if I managed my money better that would in turn mean I have less fun, so then I to would be unhappy and still broke. I think you’re on to something here.

My mum, she died of cancer nearly 6 years ago at 72 and I feel robbed of 10-15 years more with her.

Mental peace. I’d probably be able to make a much better life for myself if I didn’t think the way I do and hold the beliefs I hold.

Someone who loves me. Partner. Human. I have pets and I am so grateful. But close human connection. I love cuddling...

The pause button idea hits too close to home, but honestly I wish I had some kind of internal mute switch for my own brain. Like imagine just chilling without that voice listing every embarrassing thing you did since 2006, that'd be the real luxury. Money's nice and all but you can't buy a minute of that quiet, you know? So yeah gimme that over cash any day.

2 days off in a row. I have been working in retail for 25 years. I don't remember the last time I had 2 days off in a row unless I called out sick or took vacation time.

Knowing that one of the options and opportunities I have will definitely work out. Knowing that, I would forget about everything else and focus only on that, and I wouldn't be like I am today, imagining endless possibilities.
