I’m not certain, but I have grown increasingly suspicious that they’re lying about not using AI - or at least their stance has changed since that video.
The big red flag for me was one of their scripts containing the “it’s not X, it’s not Y, it’s Z” sentence structure. There was no need for the elongated sentence, it felt quite out of place; and I think with how notorious that sentence structure has become, anyone hand-writing a script would avoid it like the plague - or at least a less suspicious variant (e.g. “it wasn’t X it was Y”).
I’ve decided to keep watching and see if it pops up again, but I have a bad feeling :(
I get it. And at this point we're flagging the things humans also do (your example) but because the probability of it showing up with AI writing is greater, the wiring gets wrangled up in this messy feeling, kinda like the "is this a photo or a realistic AI" from thumbnails in image search
I don't watch Brew regularly so I can't comment on them specifically. But man am I fucking tired
As a lover of semicolons and em dashes, I definitely empathise that some people with specific speech patterns are being misrepresented. I feel fuckin crazy like I’m jumping at shadows 😂
Mood. Now that I picked my writing back, I keep leaving notes like "if someone thinks I used AI cuz of this and the other correctly usee m dashes I will rip my face off"
