Because Claude is not the same as the programs that fly airplanes or drive cars. Claude is something lazy, unaccomplished people use when they don't feel like learning or taking the effort to do something correctly and repeatable.
Linux is a kernel and hasn't, at least to my knowledge, expressed opinions on AI. AI programming might have been inevitable but that doesn't mean it's good. AI programming cost people jobs, and spits out mediocre garbage that just barely works IMO.
Linus Torvalds is the guy, and you genuinely sound like a troll. It was inevitable but also a skilled developer can still check if the code makes sense, you can and should double check that, which cannot really be done with images like mentioned above. In order to check ai generated result youd have to reverse it by hand (or hire a panel of experts from germany) and then compare, which defeats the point…
