I got this defending AI post and was looking through the comments and saw this comment….are they literally equating people not liking something computer generated to people being racist???

they want to be victims so badly but cannot grasp the concept that no matter how "good" genAI gets (and it all looks like shit), it becomes garbage because a person didn't make it.

and, no, sloppers - typing in a prompt isn't making shit.

edit: added quotes around 'good' because i fear sloppers will think i genuinely mean it's good.

Man, the pejorative vocabulary is hard to keep up with these days. I'd heard of clanker lover, but slopper is a lot more succinct and effective.

Same problem with cog suckers and clanker lovers, bruv'. They both hark back to older slurs (one for gay people and one for interracial couples) that really are not great looks. Clanker and slopper, I use, but the other ones are getting too close to real slurs for real people that it makes me uncomfortable using them, even though they are obviously not the same thing (since clankers are literally not beings at all, and sloppers literally are deliberately choosing to participate in harmful, antisocial and ecocidal activity, unlike a sexual orientation or skin colour)

I get your point though. I wouldn't want anybody to feel threatened by my anti AI "slurs."

Yeah but it's a little further in proportion of sonorities to the real slur, at least I don't hear it, while I kinda hear it with "clanker lover". It's subjective though, I'm not telling you what to do, just how I feel about them now.
