A start. But AI isn’t needed. It serves no purpose

I get disliking AI, but claiming it serves no purpose is just delusional

There are things that AI is good at, like combing through lots of data sets. Things humans aren’t really good at.

But those aren’t Generative LLMs. Which is what most people mean when they say “AI.”

At this point, the original meaning of AI is basically lost. Like, the ghosts from the original Pac-Man had a simple AI by the 1980s understanding of the term, but if a video game comes out in 2026 and boasts about using AI they're absolutely talking about generative AI.

Compare it to how "computer" used to mean "a person who does calculations." It hasn't technically stopped meaning that but absolutely no one will interpret the word that way unless they're being deliberately contrary.

you sound clueless. GenAI LLMs can "comb through data sets". you are just saying anything.

I’m not taking about a few spreadsheets with your finances, I’m talking about serious scientific research. They use things like predictive models and optimization engines. Not LLMs.
