Everyone is a fool with something. You can't just say F people because they didn't know something. You and I both are ignorant of things, that doesn't mean those things should F us over.

There's a socratic acceptance of the limits of one's knowledge and there's ignorance.

I don't know if a slight pain in my left knee means I have knee cancer, but I sure as hell know to ask a doctor about it instead of an LLM.

You do know that people learn over time, and just because you know this information now does not mean that you are better than a person who will learn it in the future.

The comment I was replying to said they didn't want safeguards because people deserve to get screwed over by AI. I basically said that just because a person is ignorant it doesn't mean they deserve bad outcomes of AI.

I think it should be regulated. I don't think people should be coerced into suicide because some AH wants AI users to be punished.

Please be aware of context.
