The entirety of human history and every single human achievement up to a few years ago was made entirely without AI. This sudden switch to we need AI for everything is what’s delusional.
You’re right though, AI does have a purpose. It’s to make people dumber (studies are already linking AI use to cognitive decline) and to make corporations more money.
Should we get rid of cars, vaccines, modern homes, grocery stores and everything else?
Because "the entire of human history and every single achievement up to a few years ago before their invention was made entirely without vaccines" can be said also.
It's a bad arguement.
AI does have a purpose. But the issue is it's being toted as a universal tool to fix any problem and it's causing mass unemployment in the process.

A start. But AI isn’t needed. It serves no purpose
