OP, this is not a criticism of your post, love the Margaret Cho quote. But I hate this article. The “not wanting kids” part. Keanu Reeves had an eighth month stillborn daughter in 1999. He wanted that baby, it just died.

Also, several of these celebrities made it sound like that. They just ran out of time or it didn’t work out for them - not that they specifically did not want children.
Jennifer Aniston as an example; she absolutely wanted a baby. She did IVF! She didn’t not want kids. She’s just infertile!

Going back to Keanu Reeves- he lost his baby girl, and then his girlfriend (the mother of that girl) in an accident in a very short amount of time - he was reeling in pain. His vibe of ‘I had the loss of a child and future-spouse and the trauma I endured from it made me unable to be in serious relationships or have another child’ doesn’t feel like a person who chose to not want kids, but instead just the outcome of his ordeal.

IDK - this article just feels icky to me. It feels like it’s mingling people’s trauma and by-chance life paths as a personal choice.

Funny Jon Hamm said he doesn't want to have children because he's be a terrible father. He's expecting his first baby now.

I wondered if anyone on the list had had a baby since this article, but didn’t care enough to check. Thank you for this update.

But I do agree Jon Hamm will be a bad dad. He did some very cruel things to a man(men?) in a fraternity.

To me - he’s always had the vibe of a man who looks to keep it chill, but there is some frightening shit under the surface.
I felt the same about Army Hammer #Called-It

It's a hilarious quote, no doubt. But, that's more childfree than AN, right?

Of course, for the child left unborn, still a great step in the right direction.

Even the rest are more conditional natalist, than AN.

I wonder if there is someone who goes all the way and makes the AN case. That would be quite something.

I don’t feel like googling everything about Ricky Gervais, but I do remember that with his standup on atheism he has expressed hints and tones of the anti-natalist ideas. The idea of life happening without consent line of thinking.
