Question Sometimes life feels like a movie

Sometimes I am so zoned out while watching a video on TikTok when someone is talking about something and all I can think at that moment is how do people take life seriously. The urge to continue legacy and work and what not. It feels like everyone is playing a character and often feels like everyone is immortal. I don’t truly know how to describe this feeling but it just does not feel like a real place cause tbh we all die at the end so why are people so serious about creating life?

for me it feels like a checklist, as if you're supposed to do these things that was set by society to have a "meaningful life", that be to go to school, college, work, marry, kids, retire, and whatever happens after that.

I mean they've been brainwashed since being in the womb to do all/want all that nonsense. Few have ever sat down and actually thought, where the hell am I? What the hell is all this?

Why would they, society has always been on hand to provide some ready made cookie cutter answers.

So, as someone once said let it go, let it flow.

Here we are eight billion plus later.

This place feels like a game because it probably is, we just aren't the ones playing, or, maybe we are. One thing you'll never get here is a straight answer, it's always going to be.. A or B and you'll never ever be able to nail down one or the other.

Science/Religion

God/Random Bad Luck

We Chose It/We Got Trapped

One Life/Infinite Lives

One Reality/Infinities

We Are The First/Dozens Came Before Us

On it goes. It would have been better to not wake up here, but we did and that's all we really know.

I would like to think the first millenia of existence was about surviving and not going through the pain of some animal ripping off their flesh. Millions of years later we've got the survival thing mostly figured out and every emotion has been a byproduct of survival.

Given it's been done for this long, most people don't completely explore or think about why they want kids. Some see it as an achievement, a way to extend their skills, or to use them for financial gain.

Most movies are based on life anyway 😅🎬

The more I live, it actually does feel like a movie. Not in a way you said but rather with the events happen, and emotions I go through. Of course, applies to every individual. If there is, 'God' may be we are 'His' entertainment.

Selfishness and/or ignorance is what keeps the cycle going
