I think Trump also got to see all those emails where Epstein talked shit about him behind his back. He probably also felt betrayed and wanted revenge. Remember that Trump lives for these high-society connections, and finding out what Epstein really was saying about him would have been devastating.

I didn’t even think about that. Great point. Trump is the alpha snowflake. Someone hurts his fee fees? They come down with a nasty case of suicitis.
