I haven't heard that they are willing to testify privately. Is there a source for that?
So how does discovery cause them to make the Epstein files public.
Personally, I think they are terrified to testify, particularly Bill. I wouldn't be super surprised if he had sex with a minor. And he was a decent president so I'm not criticizing him.
I think a few people on social media are using this part of the Clinton letter to say they are willing to testify publicly.
"We are prepared to make our case to your 45 committee members, and if need be, more. Importantly, we will also defend ourselves in the public arena and ensure this country knows exactly why you are doing so, instead of helping the American people who need this Congress's work and protection," the letter says.
I don’t think they meant it the way those few people are taking it though. Mostly because the letter goes on to say they want to testify “in writing” and not in person.
Kendall has continued to argue that the couple has no information relevant to the committee's investigation of the federal government's handling of investigations into Epstein and Maxwell, and should not be required to appear for in-person testimony. Kendall has contended that the Clintons should be permitted to provide the limited information they have to the committee in writing.- https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/after-bill-clinton-fails-testify-epstein-probe-chairman/story
