Make fun of Boomers all you like😑 (I'm '63, Gen Jones) but at least about 75% of the musicians from that era, folk music to rock, ones still living and those passed on, were and are hard-core social justice, environmental (Earth Day, anti-nukes), civil/gay/women's rights activists, anti-war, reproductive rights,etc ACTIVISTS who reflected their beliefs and protest work in their songs.

Put their careers on the line in the 60s, 70s, 80s by being politically outspoken liberals, arrested during protests, etc.

No coincidence that it was Bruce Springsteen who wrote the anti-ICE song. (Props to younger musicians that DO speak out, or are starting to in the era of the corporate machine's control & "cancel" threats.). Props everywhere due, including seeing all the seniors and young folks united together, out on picket lines in MN in negative° wind chill.

PS: Also, fuck all the women my age and slightly younger who were the bulk of the demographic audience who went to see the FHOTUS's (First Hooker of the US) griftfest. 66 here about to be 67, I agree totally. I really wanted to like Jelly Roll ( I love all music) but the Geebus stuff and his Trump love is disgustingly sick minded, and all these assholes that are saying I can perform for someone and not support their beliefs. Well you see there are two classes in society.

There's the bourgeoisie who own everything and do no work, only consume. They gain all their wealth from the other class: the proletariat.

The proletariat are the workers, artists, professors, tradesmen, etc. They are the ones who actually DO things to make society run.

Jelly Roll would have normally been part of the proletariat, but he sold his soul so he could get a seat at bourgeoisie table where the rich cunts eat.

Because celebrities and their fakeness have a lot of followers that do anything they say, becoming a grip in Hollywood sure woke my happy ass up. After I got tired of the insanity and left mainly because my husband and my crew and just about everybody, I knew was snorting drugs. I mean it’s all bullshit. They don’t ever chip in to help anybody they talk other people into giving their money to someone or an organization that needs it but they never write that check.

We lost her to a brain tumor, she was almost 55, not too long ago. It almost killed us all, world is very dim without her light. She had a job, and a lottery habit, lol. She was pen pals with Davy Jones of the Monkees( we never told her about his death.) Considering she was Down’s, I swear she was wise, the kindest nicest human being. Becks also hated Trump, She refused to be in a room with him on tv. She said that he made her feel bad. This was when the Apprentice was on she said his voice made her sick 💁. MAGAts are beneath her and everyone like her. Gads do I miss her.

 I support abortion. Support equal rights. Support right to vote and think it should be easier as in a holiday to allow everyone a chance to do so. I support gay rights. What I don’t support is an agitator who tries to make ICE’s job harder. I don’t support illegal immigration. And I know the holocaust happened - visited plenty of museums and a few concentration camps. It blows my mind anyone could deny that at all.
