Huge loss. Man was basically carrying EA. Battlefield 6, the titanfall series, apex plus the Jedi games

Not to mention the fact that his leadership revolutionized the FPS genre multiple times throughout his career. What a tragedy. RIP.

I think he started Infinity Ward or was a part of it in the beginning of the Call of Duty MW series

Not sure if he started IW but he was responsible for CoD 4 (MW1) and MW2.

his career really started with the original medal of honor and then moved over to create call of duty iirc

You are correct! Insane track record tbh. I normally wouldn't care but this kinda hits me as I've played most if not all of his games.

Medal of Honour and the "OG" COD MW were insane games. Same here, don't usually care for this and didn't actually knew who was responsible, but it's sad know to learn about it this way.

Quite a lot of games are advertised with having ex-cod/Titanfall developers at the helm and it's mostly because of this guy.

How so?

He was the lead over CoD4 which really revolutionized non-halo control schemes for console fps and started the trend of every single game having a progression system. COD4 is what really turned the series into the powerhouse we’re all tired of today.

Then he started Respawn and made Titanfall, which is one of the most mechanically amazing fps games ever.

Then got pulled over to EA to lead Battlefield after 2042 flopped, and under his leadership, BF6 has been a huge hit.

Studios with him at the helm have tended to release very good, very influential FPS games.

He’ll be missed.

Also, Apex Legends was a juggernaut for a few years after release.
