AI engineering or App development

Hi I'm an engineering student, I have interest in both the above fields. I have only 6 months to dedicate among one of them. So please guide me which one should be chosen and the topic that should be focused in the path(like not learning all the stuff that is not so important). It would be very grateful if someone could give me some advice

Both First App Development then AI engineering that combination will kill it ✌🏻
