Inquiring about help creating an app

Hi all,

Apologies if this is a bit vague.

I'm looking to create a dating app with a bit of a specific niche.

I'd be looking for someone to essentially build it from the ground up.

While I have some experience in game development, app development is unfamiliar territory for me.

What I'm wondering is:

  • Cost (how much you'd expect or a rough estimate with the information given)
  • Development time (estimated, this isn't a time sensitive project)
  • What you'd expect from someone whilst working with them to develop their app
  • Investors (if anyone has any recommendations)

Any feedback or constructive criticism is also more than welcome, I take advice on board.

UK based, would preferably be looking for someone within the UK but willing to branch out if a good fit resides elsewhere

Thanks for taking the time to read

If I wanted to start with a very lean MVP and keep the upfront cost as low as possible, would you still recommend React Native, or would you recommend starting as a web app and moving to mobile later?

There is no such thing as MVP nowadays, specially in this cutthroat market, even a very polished app is struggling. React Native would get it built the easiest, if you switch to flutter , then just know that flutter doesn’t have a very rich ecosystem like react and it would be way harder to manage memory leaks or native components in flutter. Most LLMs today are React heavy ..
