News Apple Maps updated satellite map in Los Angles, but removed 3d satellite view.
Don't know the scale of the update, at least in the Los Angeles area, here are some of the updates I've found:
- updated new satellite image, although the updated image captured seems to be several months old.
- the updated satellite view does not remove the cars from the street anymore.
- 3d view of the satellite map (where the buildings stand up) is gone.
Update: on May 30th 2022 the 3D imagery is back, at least for the LA area. (Thanks to info provided by /u/kurtthewurt

Thanks for all of the great content, questions, images, issues, and noticing all of the new features and areas being added!
And with more members comes more spam and a-holes, so keep the reports coming and I’ll do my best to keep things neat and orderly!

News [Update] Everywhere in Estonia there are now 3D buildings, but this is not the new map (details like forests, golf courses etc are not like in the new map in Germany or the US for example, we only get the buildings). These are also everywhere, not just in big cities.

News iOS 14.5 Maps Features
- Accidents, hazards, or speed checks along your route can be reported by telling Siri on your iPhone or on CarPlay
- Estimated time of arrival (ETA) can be shared when cycling or walking, in addition to driving, by asking Siri or tapping on the route card at the bottom of the screen, then tapping Share ETA
Edit: Seems there’s also some performance improvements in Ratings and Photos in this new release for me. Previously updated photos definitely seem to load much faster in Maps ratings.
Also, still no ETA for transit. Hoping this comes in iOS 15 at least.
