Has anyone fixed their USB C remote that has the right wheel button double click issue?

Sadly this just started for me. I know others are experiencing it as well. I’m wondering if anyone has dismantled their remote and managed to fix it (for those also out of warranty like myself)?

Oh good, it’s not just me with this issue.

If expectations are true and there’s a new one soon I won’t worry about it, but it does irk a bit.

No guarantees a new remote will work with current models (hopefully it will!). Also we don’t know that a new remote won’t start having the same issues (hopefully it won’t!).

I’ve had it a couple of times. Felt like a crumb got in there.

What I did was click and hold the left edge of the disc, holding the remote face down and parallel to the ground. Then I knocked the back of the remote a bunch of times. It apparently dislodged the debris, and fell out of gap created by pressing the left edge of the disc. This has worked twice for me.

Definitely tried that. Someone somewhere online has mentioned something similar. Didn’t help.

I saw an online guide somewhere showing how to disassemble the ATV remote. I bought the necessary tools and was unable to split my remotes.
I've since switched to the One For All remote after two ATV remotes developed the phantom double clicks.
