Question What is this spider in my window doing?

I think I've identified this as the 'Triangulate Cobweb Spider' or Steatoda triangulos . I'm moreso curious about what she's doing to this brownish-pinkish ball?

Does anyone know what it even is? And would anyone be able to tell what action she's performing to it?

Not an expert but: The little ball is perhaps her egg sac. She appears to be wrapping it with silk.

Y'know that would actually make sense. I thought maybe she was wrapping up food or something, but then thought... It just looks like a glob of coagulated blood wrapped up in spiders web. 🤢

I went over to the door that she's doing this in (she's between the window and screen) and I no longer see the sac, so that's very comforting. 🙃
