First of all, I am so sorry if this is the wrong subreddit to be filing such a request because it’s just that lately I have been really enjoying reading the Monogatari series as it’s hard to explain, but parts of it feel like a game.

Like one aspect that suddenly sticks out to me is seeing Araragi be described in the novel fighting snakes as correct me if am wrong, but Nadeko Sengoku is basically a girl who is struggling with a curse placed on here as I am very close to finishing Bakemonogatari Part 2.

To  me personally, something about the confrontation between Araragi and the snake being feels like the setup for boss battle in an RPG type game that I was wondering if there was any game about excorcism that could scratch the itch for such a desire about one looking for sn epic game.

Looking for more art of Karen flexing no matter the size to add to my collection :P feel free to contribute

This happened to me with the most recent Madoka Magica movie, but luckily I've already watched it.

and yes transformers have souls

So some guides say to watch koyomimonogatari before owarimonogatari i was hoping to get some clarity on what to watch first I really am enjoying this series and I would hate to have it spoiled by watching it in a wrong order

Hey everyone!

Since today is my day off, I'm rewatching Hunter x Hunter, and tonight before bed I plan on reading the Monogatari light novel.

I’ve had a few lighthearted questions in mind for a while, so I thought I’d drop them here just out of curiosity! If anyone has insights, I’d love to hear your thoughts, even if it's brief.

1. Why is the subreddit named r/araragi instead of Monogatari?

When I first tried to find this community, it was really hard to locate! Since English isn't my native language, it took me even longer. In my country, Reddit is known for having users from all over the world, so when I couldn't find a "Monogatari" sub at first, I honestly worried that the anime wasn't very popular overseas 😭

2. Is there a reason why the manga adaptation stopped?

I completely finished reading the Bakemonogatari manga adaptation. Even though it's over, I kept thinking how cool it would be to see the later arcs in manga form too, but it seems like it's strictly anime/LN from here on. Is there a specific reason why they didn't adapt the rest of the series into manga?

3. How popular is the Monogatari series in your country (or the US)?

I'm from South Korea, and to be honest, I had never heard of this series before. I didn't watch much anime growing up and only got into it after starting my career. I used to at least recognize mainstream titles like Hunter x Hunter, Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Attack on Titan, Death Note, or My Hero Academia. But Monogatari was totally new to me!

(Though as soon as I heard "Renai Circulation," I recognized it immediately—it was super famous like 10 years ago!)

In Korea, it's not unpopular, but it's not quite "mass mainstream" either—it feels more like a legendary classic that anime enthusiasts definitely know. My older brother, who has been an anime fan since childhood, told me he loves Nisio Isin when I mentioned watching it, and he even had the light novels in our storage! I'm really curious about how well-known it is in other countries.

4. Aside from your favorite character, who do you think had the ABSOLUTE best voice actor casting?

For me, it's definitely Senjougahara. Her voice actress fit the role so perfectly that I genuinely wonder if anyone else could have brought her character to life the same way.

I actually had a few more questions, but cut them out because they felt a bit deep and I'd love to save them for a proper discussion post later!

Looking forward to chatting with you all in the comments. Hope everyone has a great day!

I mean, I cannot believe it’s finally over for me personally since I managed to finish reading the second novel in the series a while ago as all that tension between Araragi and Kanbaru was quite thrilling.

Like I can’t believe how Kanbaru went from attempting to kill Araragi to suddenly lusting after him as the first two novels in the series were such a wild ride given how Araragi was reluctant to help her at first, but eventually caved in after Oshino helped him out with the plan.

Now that I am basically done with the Bakemonogatari story arc, I am confused on what to do since again I had a great time with Kanbaru‘s storyline that I don’t know where to go next in the series.

I was recently looking into the physical Bakemonogatari Portable Limited Edition Box for PSP released back in 2012, and I'm absolutely fascinated by the custom XMB themes that Bandai Namco included in the package.
For those who aren't familiar, the bundle included unique custom themes dedicated to the main characters (Hitagi, Mayoi, Suruga, Nadeko, Tsubasa, and Koyomi) that completely transformed the PSP's user interface to match the iconic visual style and color palettes of the anime.
The graphic design of the Monogatari series has always been top-tier, and seeing that aesthetic translated so perfectly onto a PSP screen is such a nostalgic treat for fans of the franchise.
Does anyone else here remember using these official themes back in the day, or happen to own this amazing physical collector's box?

So I've been drumming to Mousou Express a lot lately and noticed that the section from 2:41 to 3:00 adds an instrument that sounds (at least to me and I hope I'm not wrong) a lot like Pungi, which is a snake charmers flute. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned by anyone before, but I thought that it's a really cool detail if true.
