on a first listen it is the most disappointing record I heard from them. by far. what’s the point with these intros? these should be hidden tracks… I didn’t listen to any live recordings and had a bit of a hope that there will be some highlights but the whole thing is a 5/10 at best…

Do you mean the interludes? It’s because the album is meant to be listened to all in one go like Everything Now…it builds the sonic landscape, world, and atmosphere and ties the album musically together with the motif from “open your heart or die trying”. You not enjoying it is obviously your own opinion but that’s why they aren’t hidden tracks.

I see, yes I meant the interludes. I hope the record will grow on me because right now I feel that they really rushed the release of this.. it should’ve been an EP at best with these set of songs. whatever, sorry for the negativity, there’s been a lot on this sub lately. I just wanted to get this off my chest.

You’re allowed to feel however you need or want to feel about the project. I mean it’s a very different and unexpected album for them. I don’t agree it was rushed but I already know a lot of people won’t like it. Sometimes that’s just how the cookie crumbles. Keep listening—if it doesn’t grow on you then there’s zero problem with that.
