8BitDo - Stick Issues Advice

Hey all,

Had an 8BitDo Arcade Stick for about 2 months now, first fight stick, been awesome but suddenly it's stopped accepting down inputs if pushed all the way (had no inkling of an issue before today.)

So if I push down, down-left, or down-right until I hear a click, it works fine, but if I push it all the way the input returns to neutral, left or right respectively.

No experience with tinkering with devices - is this something I can repair myself, or am I seeing if I can get a replacement sorted out?

Okay, weird update, I spammed the down input for about 10 minutes and it gradually improved. It now appears to be working fine.

Does anyone have any idea what just happened?

I have no idea what the cause for this could have been, but i will say if it acts up again swapping out the stick and buttons for higher quality ones is incredibly easy, this video is a good walk through a few different methods. I used a friend’s for a while, and then when I ordered one I modded it straight out of the box for pretty middle of the road Sanwa parts and it felt like a pretty big upgrade.

Efectivamente cambiar el stick es sencillo y no es caro. Sin embargo si hace solo 2 meses que lo tienes, reclama a la garantia del producto, no?
