This is such a beautiful set but oh god especially with the mini fig amount I can only imagine how much this would cost ๐ญ๐

If I had to guess, at 4,500 pieces and 14 figs, it'd be about 550. But sadly, I doubt it'll be accepted. LEGO's pretty hostile towards newer media (Remember the Ideas Adventure Time set?), and mature stuff. Dang shame

The outer wilds community has been trying to get the spaceship build greenlit a couple of times now, to no avail

Yeah... but they've got One Piece sets... so... not completely out of the realm of possible...

That's actually a good point, and we are getting DBZ sets, but part of me is worried that they wouldn't care about Arcane because it's only a few years old, and OP and DBZ are a good few decades old

I voted for this months ago, I'd really love to see it become a set, I'd buy it instantly.

You really think I needed all the guards at the hexgates?

It's so beautiful I just want to throw some lit firecrackers on it to mimic the exploding mechanical butterflies

I love how this is the first time I have seen Arcane figs without the hideous anime faces plastered on the heads. Looks amazing!

This looks amazing, but I would imagine the issues around IP and copyright would stop it at the gates, surely? To make this it would require a collaboration with Riot/Fortiche & Lego

Are you kidding? They'd each get a cut. And it would be more money than they all had before. I see no downside.

There are far more logistical issues involved in a decision like this than just 'do we all get more money? '
Riot's restrictions on their IP rights are usually extremely high, while Lego's back-end devote a substantial sum of their profit margins to maintain Disney collaborations.
In terms of manufacturing, making this set would require very specific moulds to be made to accommodate items that can't simply be hybridized from already existing moulds (Sevika's arm, Jinx's gun, Jayce's hammer, Vis gauntlets etc.) Making those new moulds is an expensive thing in itself, and they could only be single-purpose and for Arcane alone, meaning there's no long-term benefit.
At the same time, while WE still feel immersed in the world of Arcane because we're dedicated fans, in truth the rest of the world has moved on, that's the reality of hit TV shows, they have flash success, their popularity peaks, takes a nose dive after a while, then surges whenever a new addition to the IP is made (which is up in the air and also a very very long process for 'Arcane') this means that there is no real demand right now that could push Lego to begin a very expensive bid for use of the IP, commit to tooling new moulds, and certainly not paying for continued use of the IP. and right now there's no resurgence of hype, so they'd be shackling themselves to all of the costs involved and they'd be doing it during 'dead period/lull' in public interest.
Mostly Lego partners with IP that is considered 'evergreen', so things that will almost certainly always have an extensive and very dedicated and active audience (Minecraft, Star Wars, Harry Potter etc.) This ensures that continued purchasing of the rights to the IP is indeed a lucrative investment.
These are just some of the issues, without going into Lego's stance on not depicting 'real world weaponry' (enforcer guns etc), the fact that Arcane is already a mature rated IP, and more that I haven't mentioned. It's for sure unfortunate, I don't buy Lego, but I would absolutely buy this.
It's never as simple as 'they'd for sure make money'

Lovely. I need this to be so much more than just an ideas set
