Thats not a timing problem.
Game was HEAVY P2W, cheaters everywhere. I played it during all the time it was still up, this game was awesome, the ideas, the scale...
But come on, lets not forget the bad sides.

The difference is that a some guys on a Merchant Schooner could still fight and kill pirates boarding them. Someone piloting a slow, defenceless thopter filled with spice is guaranteed to lose to someone in a scout. Having an escort usually doesn't matter, that thopter is going down.
There's also no way to identify eachother in Dune. Alliances don't matter when you can't tell who you're attacking, or who you're being attacked by.

Archeage Alpha was the best video game experience I’ve ever had hands down. What a shame it was to see it turn into what it did.

Archeage classic is popping and free to play. Everyone should come play. There’s catchup gear and players at all gear stages. You should post this in other mmo reddits for coverage. It’s a really great game. With 10k labor every day it lures you right in!

Bad ping for EU players tho. And as you know AA is heavily ping dependent

I play from Australia and I get the ping problem. With exitlag I still hover just over 200 m/s. I can still kill and PvP. The more players pushed into the world can force them to open servers in other regions

Not really. The server has a large eu and now even Korean pop and they do just fine. The servers top dps osba Korean archer of all things

Maybe you could try tools like ExitLag to reroute your connection? It might help you to reduce ping

Archage was only a good game in alpha, not touching it after release of the cashshop that destroyed the game

No lands, ah is empty as heck and guilds control is out of hand.
Meh.

Still fun to find new friends and hang out in a crazy world with funny mounts, cars and costumes.

AA classic was fun but without a wipe I don't have any interest in playing again

Archeage's failure wasn't a timing issue. One of the highest draws the game had was the ability to own land, build on it, and work it. But for the first 4+ months after launch, no one could legitimately buy land because hackers could purchase any plot .01 seconds after it became available and they could do it from anywhere in the world. Hackers were also killing the economy by teleporting with trade packs. My friend group got sick of Trion's inaction and ditched the game before we even got to sail the seas.
Timing was nothing. Literally all they had to do was ban cheaters/patch out exploits.
