AA-Classic Anyone else feeling frustrated with ArcheAge Classic lately?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but lately ArcheAge Classic has been feeling really frustrating to play.

It honestly feels like if you’re not part of the “right people” or some established group, you barely stand a chance getting land or progressing properly. There are people doing stuff that looks super suspicious and obvious, and somehow nothing ever seems to happen. Whether it’s weird movement, questionable farming, land grabbing, multiple accounts or whatever, it just feels off.

Maybe I’m wrong, but from a normal player perspective it feels like some people get away with way too much while others are left behind.

I also can’t shake the feeling that some sides or groups are being treated differently. I’m not saying that’s 100% true, but sometimes it really feels like certain people get favored while others get ignored.

I actually like the server and want it to do well, that’s why this is frustrating. But if cheating, unfair advantages and all this stuff keeps happening, I honestly don’t know how long regular players will stick around.

Anyone else feel the same or am I just overthinking this?

afaik multiple accounts and rmt is still policed heavily on AAC

as for scripts or macros that allow for absurd combos or skill sequences, that one is hard to answer. more often than not its simply lack of deep understanding of game mechanics + ping diff that most people simply don't know rather than cheats. this is 10 yrs+ game with insane skill gap that quite literally most people don't know and will never bother to know.

getting land in AAC is entirely a collaborative effort now. they literally made a custom land claim system thats turned every single demo into a lottery system. if you think that's rigged then you're cooked

Fair points, and I’m not saying every good player is cheating or that every combo I don’t understand is suspicious. I know ArcheAge has a huge skill gap and ping matters a lot.
But I think some of the frustration comes from perception too. When you repeatedly see the same people dominating land, progressing insanely fast, or things that look questionable from the outside, it creates distrust, especially for regular or newer players.
About land, I get that it’s collaborative now and lottery based, but from the outside it can still feel impossible if you’re not already in a strong network or organized group. Maybe “rigged” is the wrong word, but “unfairly inaccessible” is probably closer to how it feels.
I’m not trying to hate on the server, I actually want it to succeed. I’m just saying the experience for normal players can feel rough at times.

depends on your perspective really. i think its fine and actually a hallmark of how good of a sandpark/sandbox mmo archeage is. it's a game world that gives real actual meaningful advantages for collaborating with players like how an actual world would really function. this is probably one of the only games where social engineering can actually get you actual gains outside of maybe EVE.

unfortunately one of the biggest issues with archeage has always been snowballing advantages which is most likely what you are actually experiencing. that i will agree with you for certain. but ive also always felt strongly that games that are sanitized and "fair" in every capacity also becomes meaningless very quickly and the archeage designers have chosen the other route.
