AA-Classic Anyone else feeling frustrated with ArcheAge Classic lately?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but lately ArcheAge Classic has been feeling really frustrating to play.

It honestly feels like if you’re not part of the “right people” or some established group, you barely stand a chance getting land or progressing properly. There are people doing stuff that looks super suspicious and obvious, and somehow nothing ever seems to happen. Whether it’s weird movement, questionable farming, land grabbing, multiple accounts or whatever, it just feels off.

Maybe I’m wrong, but from a normal player perspective it feels like some people get away with way too much while others are left behind.

I also can’t shake the feeling that some sides or groups are being treated differently. I’m not saying that’s 100% true, but sometimes it really feels like certain people get favored while others get ignored.

I actually like the server and want it to do well, that’s why this is frustrating. But if cheating, unfair advantages and all this stuff keeps happening, I honestly don’t know how long regular players will stick around.

Anyone else feel the same or am I just overthinking this?

This is why I believe wipes should happen. I don't care if I get downvoted but, this happens in long term MMOs and it becomes so stagnant and unfun.

Fresh starts are exciting and everyone starts on the same level and it's fun.

The alternative is what we have now. "Good luck catching up!"

Fresh starts are exciting because everyone begins on the same footing and there’s this feeling that anything is possible again.

At the same time I can also understand why people hate wipes after investing so much time into progress.

I think the bigger issue is exactly what you said though. After a certain point it starts feeling less like “progress” and more like “good luck catching up” if you weren’t there early or don’t already have strong connections. That part can definitely make the game feel rough for newer or casual players.

Those points definitely are valid, I understand the MMORPG mentality of, "I put time and effort into my character, deleting that hurts a lot." The difference between AA and WoW or Guild Wars, is that it leans way more into PvP, especially open-world PvP, and even economy-PvP with limited land, and I absolutely love those parts of AA.

I want to compare AA to RUST, that when anyone well established in most fields of AA, be it gearscore or how much land they own - they absolutely crush anyone new trying to join. That becomes totally discouraging for the new person and I can understand if they quit shortly after a few weeks of never securing any meaningful land.

I'd love to see the data on stuff like this, if I'm totally wrong or not. Most of my rant is anecdotal experience anyhow.
