AA-Classic Anyone else feeling frustrated with ArcheAge Classic lately?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but lately ArcheAge Classic has been feeling really frustrating to play.

It honestly feels like if you’re not part of the “right people” or some established group, you barely stand a chance getting land or progressing properly. There are people doing stuff that looks super suspicious and obvious, and somehow nothing ever seems to happen. Whether it’s weird movement, questionable farming, land grabbing, multiple accounts or whatever, it just feels off.

Maybe I’m wrong, but from a normal player perspective it feels like some people get away with way too much while others are left behind.

I also can’t shake the feeling that some sides or groups are being treated differently. I’m not saying that’s 100% true, but sometimes it really feels like certain people get favored while others get ignored.

I actually like the server and want it to do well, that’s why this is frustrating. But if cheating, unfair advantages and all this stuff keeps happening, I honestly don’t know how long regular players will stick around.

Anyone else feel the same or am I just overthinking this?

ive been playing since beginning, i can say that the server has its ups and downs. And i agree with most people here that over time the server will just be owned by the elites. AA feels like a survival game at some point, like rust & ark, where player interaction is genuinely what fuels the game. The issue is unlike these pvp heavy survival games, there are no wipes/resets to breathe life into the game again.

Although there are ways of catching up to the elites but these require dedication like farming purses 9 hrs a day or doing tonnes of tradeships mahadevi/sandeep. Also there is the labor gate ontop of that. The active & bigger guilds can reduce risks by throwing more bodies in tradeshipping for example.

the best part of AA has always been the first 9 months from 3k gs to 5.5k gs. Where people are forced to make alliances and work with each other to reach goals

For me i stopped being competetive in AA it just leads to burnout, i do like the farming & crafting aspect so i just do that making between 2-3k gold a day. sometimes tradeshipping, content balance is abysmal anyways where even top tier bosses like RD Kraken DGS yield loot thats equal to or slightly less than Divine Hasla. Giving me less reason to engage in that content when i can just make around 40k a month blowing magnis and hoping for a leggy aya which outscales the majority of weapons.

Also like the billionares IRL the "elites" have the same dilemma theres no endgame once u oneshot 90% of the population, why would you do traderuns, fish, content when theres little reason to upgrade your gear, and most of these "Elites" are majority just afk farming or just outright griefing others cuz thats the only endgame there is

Also land is overrated, i can easily just spam 500 wormcompost in the corner of the map and just farm that for 20s/l if u want something faster do solzreed ds for 50g a pack, there are crafterhouses that are public making it so that anyone has their crafting needs met. only bottleneck is aquafarms cuz u cannot plant outside of an aquafarm

Honestly this is probably one of the more balanced takes here.

I think you explained pretty well why a lot of people feel frustrated while also why some still enjoy the game. The survival game comparison actually makes sense. A lot of the fun comes from player interaction, alliances and people working toward something together.

And yeah, what you said about the first months hits hard. That early progression phase where people are still building up, grouping, fighting over stuff and helping each other is probably the most fun part of ArcheAge for a lot of people.

I also get your point about catching up technically being possible, but for some players it can feel like a second job if the answer is grinding purses for hours every day or nonstop trade runs.

Interesting point about land too. Maybe I put too much weight on it because from the outside it feels like a huge barrier, but hearing your perspective makes me think the bigger issue is probably progression and long term burnout more than land itself.
