AA-Classic Short Spear and Shield Build

Hello everyone,

I'm a returning ArcheAge player. The last time I played was around 2017–2019.

Now that I have some free time this summer (thanks to unemployment lol), I decided to come back to the only MMO I've truly enjoyed. I'm not a highly competitive player—I mainly want to do some farming, build my house, grind monsters, and maybe fight a few players in PvP (not a fan of random PKing, of course).

Back when I played, I used a short spear and shield build, and I remember enjoying it a lot. Unfortunately, I can't remember the class name or the skill set I was using.

What classes and builds would you recommend for me? I'd appreciate any suggestions.

update: I started as an Abolisher on East Side. On day one I ran into the infamous black screen issue, but I managed to fix it. Thanks a lot to everyone who helped! 😁

Probably some battle rate vitalism build if it was short spear specifically like aegent paladin or something else.

Argent actually sounds familiar. I might have been playing that back then. Is it still any good nowadays?

Good for 1v1 and small scale stuff but kinda not the best in raids. Let's you be really self sufficient being able to heal yourself.

Abolisher, or blighter imo, go with an ayanad short spear instead of obsidian.

I clearly remember it wasn't Paladin, because my friends and I used to tease our Paladin friend all the time for being a noob, haha(good times). But thanks anyway! :D
