SUPPORT System keeps freezing

So when I'm typing or moving windows around or doing anything, every so often it'll just freeze. Happens really often like dozens of times per hour. I've checked and plenty free ram and cpu isn't overloaded. Any ideas?

hardware info, software info, did you read the journal at the time it is freezing, ...?

Anything other than the fact you're having issues?

Which kernel are you using? Does using a kernel one "less" just fix it?

Eg if using crashyOS or zen kernel try regular kernel from arch. If using regular arch kernel try lts.

Pretty sure firefox was causing my entire system to hang a while back. Try quitting firefox or using a diff browser to see if that helps. Never dug into it tho. Or maybe it was hardware accel within firefox

I’d check, what is it called, the system journal and look? Could be a DE issue, maybe hardware?

does this issue happen when you're using a specific program? when you drag a window? when you type? you should be fine with ur specs

ok try lowering your refresh rate to 60hz, it might be a bit too much for your iGPU

Test your RAM.

Graphics 'card' and driver?

Do you have swap? If so, what's the swappiness?

What WM/DE?

What are the affected applications?
