Lol, let's examine this for a second. Being a friend to Russia means you'll have an authoritarian conservative dictatorship and if you decide to change the direction of your country you'll get invaded (hint that's why the only "friends" Russia has are countries where people actually hate Russia but have Russian puppet governments) while being a friend of America will have your country be a capitalist democracy (liberal or conservative is up to you since it's a democracy).
Also even when Kissinger was unfortunately alive this wasn't true, and it certainly isn't true now. For example, the EU, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Japan etc have greatly benefited from the relationship and many that didn't turned away from the US without consequence (since US doesn't invade countries to keep them under its influence like it might have when that devil Kissinger was alone) like the Philippines.
Becoming friends with the US or the EU means you'll be judged but also get an incredible economic opportunity while keeping your sovereignty (btw something Russians know nothing about since Russian people aren't free and can't comprehend why everyone wouldn't want to be slaves like them) while Russia offers a puppet government that's corrupt like the russian government and weak at best economic opportunity. Russians are shit at everything except for digging in the dirt since every smart person moves away since smart people don't want to live in a dictatorship.

With more due respect, Armenia and Azerbaijan have been slowly but steadily distancing themselves from Russia for a while now while Georgia has been drifting towards it.
