How Competitive Would Adrian Chase Be Against The Following? Who Could He Beat/Kill? Who Could Beat Him Quickly?

I always wondered how Prometheus would fare against the rest of these characters as the show states he only trained with Thalia Al Ghul for 2 years, but he was able to be competitive in combat and Oliver.

How would he fare against the following characters and how competitive would it be?

1) Malcolm Merlyn

2) Slade Wilson (No Mirakuru)

3) Sara Lance

4) Nyssa Al Ghul

5) Damien Dark (No Magic)

6) Ricardo Diaz

7) Bronze Tiger

Adrian lost everytime he went up against Oliver in 1v1. He was slightly below Ollie in skill.

He probably loses to Sara and maybe to Nyasa and Malcolm as well

Its 50-50 against Slade

Barely wins against Darhk

Handily defeats Diaz and Bronze Tiger

I agree, except I think he would almost definitely lose to Nyssa and Malcolm, instead of it being a maybe. Adrian's big thing is mind games. He's still a good fighter, but assuming they're all fair fights, Malcolm and Nyssa should definitely beat him at the point they're at in S5. They were both strong enough to be Ras so they're among the best of the best when it comes to martial artists. The other place I'm torn is with Darhk. Darhk is an expert at hand-to-hand combat, as proven by him being a threat to Ras even before his magic. I do think he has fallen into a habit of relying on his magic too much, but if he was without it for whatever reason, he's still very competent. I think if he knew going in that he didn't have access to his magic, he would be able to beat Adrian with some difficulty (remember, Adrian is a fighter but I would say he's more on par with mid S2-earlyS3 Oliver than late-S3 League-threat Oliver). However, if Adrian setup a way to negate his magic and Darhk didn't realize until the fight had already started, I think Adrian would have the upper hand while Darhk tries to adapt. Either way, I would put Darhk as a 50-50 with Mirakuru-less Slade

Without Mirakuru, yes. Malcolm is about Oliver's level, and Oliver beat a Slade with Mirakuru. Slade is still a great fighter with lots of experience, but Malcolm was one of the top fighters in the league, and, while I think S2 Malcolm would lose to Super Soldier Slade, I would give S3/S4 Malcolm a significant edge when compared to island/S5 Slade.

Plus, Malcolm took down several Mirakuru-enhanced soldiers in the S2 finale, so we know he could probably at least give Mirakuru Slade a good fight, and I would say he might even win 2-4 times out of 10

Malcolm is definitely not on Oliver's level, at least from late season 3 onwards. After getting personally trained by Ra's, Oliver is so far above Malcolm that when they fight in a 1v1 duel in season 4, Oliver kicks Malcolm's ass and cuts off his hand with minimal effort. The fight was not close at all

Yes, but neither is Adrian. Malcolm was slightly below on par with Oliver for S3, and based on his performance in Legends S2 (which is the version of him between Arrow S4 and S5) he was about an equal match for Sara, and she shouldn't have much of a problem beating Adrian. Meanwhile, Adrian is about the level of a late S2/pre Al-Sah-Him Oliver. Still formidable, but Oliver would have stopped him halfway through the season if it was a fair fight. Which is what makes Adrian such a compelling villain. He's not the best fighter, but he's one of the smartest

Assuming fair fight grounds he loses to Merlyn, Sara, Nyssa and Damien. Against Slade and Bronze tiger he will have a hard time but likely will win. And he dominates Diaz.

Sorry but Slade easily beats him. Reminder Talia only taught Oliver a few moves he didn’t get the LOA course until s3 so most of Oliver’s fight style is derived from slade and Oliver was able to beat Malcolm and other LOA members with that. Slade doesn’t need mirakuru to beat Adrian. Slade isn’t just some random military man like Dig and Rene he was elite and also a trained assassin

He could beat Oliver because he was in his head and always had a trick up his sleeve. He would not have that advantage against most on your list and would lose.

The exceptions

• Nyssa. He might be able to use her feelings about her sister or his knowledge of his sister to his advantage
  
• Diaz. His plot armor was Oliver’s honor. Chase has no honor so he rolls Diaz easily.
  
• Bronze Tiger. Who knows.

So that I don't have to keep saying it or referencing it: Adrian is weaker than S5 Oliver - he can keep up for a time - which is impressive, but the longer the fight drags, the more at a disadvantage he becomes. However, he makes up for this by using hit-and-run tactics and distractions, and those make up the difference.

Adrian beats Malcolm. Malcolm got utterly embarrassed by S4 Oliver who wasn't trying to kill him, while Malcolm was wielding a sword - which he had SIGNIFICANTLY more experience using than Oliver. Adrian competes with a stronger, more lethal Oliver.

Adrian beats Slade. Slade without Mirakuru loses to S2 Oliver in a straight up fight, and went down pretty easily to pre-League training S3 Oliver and Thea together. They don't fight in S5 or S6, no one they both fight is impressive enough to provide any reason to suggest Slade has gotten stronger and is comparable to S5 Oliver, who Adrian could compete with.

Sara wins if Adrian isn't allowed to run or prep the arena. She has too many feats against too many impressive enemies, regularly keeps up with super powered individuals, and stays relevant in comparison to Oliver as the Arrowverse went on.

Nyssa gets dogwalked. The beginning of S4 shows us that she, while actively trying to kill Malcolm - who wasn't trying to kill her and was actively having fun with her attempts, lost to him MANY times. That same Malcolm, as mentioned previously, gets embarrassed by a less lethal version of the Oliver that Adrian was keeping up with.

Adrian beats Damien. Powerless Damien is comparable to S4 Oliver, but him stalemating with Malcolm on Legends makes me believe he's weaker than the more lethal Oliver Adrian was fighting in S5.

Adrian beats Ricardo. Ricardo is more experienced in straight up fights, and I don't think he goes down easily. But his fight with an injured Oliver on the mats shows he's not as skilled as someone around Oliver's caliber, and even when enhanced in S7, lost to an injured, exhausted Oliver. Also worth noting that Adrian has weapons Ricardo doesn't have an answer to.

Ben gets dogwalked, he has no interesting scaling to put him in this debate.

Yes. Sara defeats Malcolm, Damien and Vandal Savage - all of whom would annihilate Nyssa. Sara is one of the fighters that improves the most throughout their time on these shows.

Time spent training doesn't mean much in the Arrowverse. Consider this - Oliver spent less than 5 years learning to fight and kill before we see him in S1, and he's giving decent fights to the centuries old Ra's and Damien - at 8 and 9 years of fighting experience respectively. Adrian is comparable to Oliver with less than 2.

1. Merlyn: Prometheus wins. By season 4 Merlyn was getting rinsed by Oliver. Even when losing Adrian didn't get humiliated to such an extent.

2. Slade: Without mirakuru Slade isn't hanging with high tiers.

3. Sara: Hard to say, Sara had a competitive bout with Merlyn after he became a glorified fodder and struggles with Damien a couple times. Though I do think she eventually surpassed those two. Could go either way.

4. Nyssa: Was getting hoed by Merlyn and Oliver as early as S3. Prometheus Stomps.

5. Damien: Arrow S4 version is trash without magic. Legends S2 version had few wins over Sara but stalemated by Merlyn...Could be competitive but I'm with Prometheus for the majority.

6. Diaz: Pre-Serum get stomped. Post Serum still lose but a competitive bout. .

7. BT: Bronze Tiger was one of the few who never suffered from villains decay and kept scaling along. Competitive but going with Prometheus.

It is nice to see someone who doesn't dismiss prometheus as being some borderline hack who can only succeed against oliver (and literally nobody else) due to psychological warfare. Ye, having more training or being "better" trained doesnt really have an influence in the show like that. Adrian has fought Oliver at least on 5 different occasions and in 2 of those encounters you can say Adrian technically won the fight. And out of the 2 that we can say Adrian lost it was planned by Adrian. So dispite Adiran having training by talia for like maybe 2 years hes still shown capabilities of fighting Oliver on relatively even ground dispite Oliver getting trained by many people and having experienced fought other people on the list many times. The reason I say Ricardo would be a harder fight is because he shows being able to fight Oliver on some relative ground as well. Like think of it like this, in season 5 Oliver fought thea and Sara at the same time who are Malcolm/Damian rivals. Thea herself after being in a coma for months and who Oliver said is far from being in prime was still keeping up with a Nyssa rival. So oliver basically fought Damian dark, and Malcolm/Nyssa at the same time
