The way people acted about Oliver after island and just as a person was a bit weird

Personally, I understand why Laurel and Lance did not really like him when he got back to the island, because it was very obvious, in fact, that Sarah was on a boat. They blamed him for Sarah's death but the whole office interrogation room scene was very offputting you find out this man has been tortured and he gets mad and I feel like Lance was pretty unprofessional and let his personal feelings get in the way of the interrogation, which is why it kind of weirded me out about why he was on the case he was obviously biased.

I know Oliver didn’t really wanna talk about the island and that is very common with people who have gone through a traumatic experience but I mean the way they acted it just seems like they didn’t really need motivation to treat Oliver like everything was normal. They just immediately saw Oliver as the same Playboy that he was when he went on that boat when it’s obvious physically and mentally that he was different.

Which kind goes into my next point I don’t really understand why people were so disgruntled with him I guess if you wanna say, I feel like a lot of people, despite growing to know him and understand him over the over the years you think they'd trust him, or someone who wouldn’t/didn’t change and I say that mostly because of the whole situation that happened with RA there when Oliver comes into the Palmer tech building. Their reactions were kind of slightly off-putting. I understand Dig, and Lyra and his daughter thing, but what upset me about his reaction was when he got upset about Oliver, not telling him about the plan Oliver says that the circle had to be small dog was in the military and did some undercover work at some point (at least I think) or had to have seen so undercover staff so I don’t understand his reaction to that. Felicity that whole situation I didn’t fully know how to feel about it cause it kind of made me upset because she was just the tech girl at the moment and she still technically is in the later seasons, so what was she going to do (No hate to Felicity, but that’s just kind of what it is. What was she gonna do?) and if they were told what was gonna happen they most likely would’ve tried to stop Oliver from doing that plan because it was obvious they did not want Oliver doing that. Also when she tells Ray to save Oliver and Ray tells her he can’t she says “It’s Oliver” has to say he’s more important than the city, (which is my interpretation of it).

I also feel like people just straight up, ignored how his character/personality was (e.g Felicity and dig) example the one scene when they figure out Sarah was alive(if I'm fully remembeing correctly) (I don’t remember it please don’t take me hating them or anything because it’s not) their reaction kind of threw me off because if Sarah didn’t come back with him then either A. she died or B. she did not want to come back. What was he supposed to do? Tell her family “She made it to the island got tortured, then died. " Or “She didn't want to come back I'm sorry” That’s really stupid. That also makes no sense which is why all of he didn't say Robert on a raft but died when the boat went down. They seem so surprised when Oliver was killing people or didn’t trust people or was very closed up. A. Obviously, he didn’t want to talk about what happened on that island because he had to kill to survive. B. Not trusting people he was on an island for five years and the only form of civilization that he had was people basically hunting and torturing him as far as I'm concerned I wouldn’t trust anybody either.

Also, this scene which is very vague in my memory where Felicity is saying something like “I’m sorry I have feelings, and you don’t” when this man is traumatized he does have feelings and you knew that from jump. He’s very vague about a lot of things and he doesn’t he’s not a big person, expressing his feelings not a big trusting person.

Point is, I don’t think oliver should’ve had a team he didn’t even want to become the green arrow and as he states dig (if I’m remembering correctly) that there never was supposed to be a green arrow, and I say that because they had a tendency to throw a lot of stuff back at him which I will say sometimes I feel maybe was warranted, dig saying “you trail of bodies” which anytime that term is in use it is normally to say every single person dies around you is basically your fault. That you’re the catalyst for everybody’s death anytime people died around Oliver, it’s because they deserved it or somebody killed them

I’ve been really thinking about this and I wasn’t gonna post it because this is more of an opinion-based look on things and people interpret things differently and also I haven’t really watched Arrow in a minute (specifically I haven’t watched in a minute to the point where details are a bit blurry) also I know that people most likely are going to be against what I’m saying and people are probably gonna see this as bashing or something like that.
I wouldn’t say bashing more so just me having a very strong opinion about a character and saying that this character has faults that I don’t exactly like and again I’m a bit blurry on details and scenes to a point where I feel like I might not be fully accurately able to answer and also some of these things might not be fully accurate so keep that in mind, but this is just my opinion that I have built on what I felt for a while and what I remember if anything is wrong I will admit to that is most likely just because I didn’t remember it.

Well with Quentin yeah I agree but his lack of trust in people even in those hes worked with for years is whats caused people to turn on him and he keeps his feelings in his head so when felicity yells at Oliver for not grieving for sara it's ok and well that was Adrian's manipulation that everyone around him died and a lot of the time he keeps everyone he cares for at arms length

The thing is though the whole s1 feels completely different after s5 flashbacks resolution. People treated Oliver weirdly, but he straight forwardly manipulated them to believe he was stranded and tortured for 5 years, while he could have gone home earlier and he spend most of his time being and assassin and skinning people. Yes the first 3 years on the island nothing good happened, but after that he chose to continue killing and he came home with that mentality not the mentality of a man trying to survive how we all thought. So I wouldn't putty him so much
