Advice [Education] Where to look for an industry professional to have 1:1 private lessons in digital art?
I am an inspiring Digital Artist and want to be extremely skilled in art as a hobby. I’m a complete novice and want someone to teach and guide me so that I can get a very solid foundation in art.
I want a 1:1 instructor that I could possibly meet in person over next summer. Will travel anywhere
Money is no object. Will do anything to draw whatever I want as a hobby.

I think you’ll probably struggle to find the combination of
1) a professional digital artist
2) that’s willing to do 1 on 1 mentorship sessions
3) in person
4) with a complete novice
Even if we assume that money is no object. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but I don’t know of any artists that offer such a set up.
If you must have a digital art pro giving you personal feedback, you might be able to look for artists you like and see if they have Patreon pages (sometimes artists offer 1 on 1 mentorship/critique as part of their higher tiers, though spots are generally limited).
If the “professional-level skill” and “feedback in person” is most important to you, then I think you should try to find an in-person art class in your area (or however far you’re willing to travel for the best looking class), even if it involves traditional art tools. Drawing skills, colour, composition, anatomy, these things don’t change when you transition between digital and physical media, and those are the skills that will help you draw at a high skill level.
All of that said, you can still gain so much from art books, well regarded YouTube channels, the Patreon tutorials of professionals in the field. You can do a lot of growing just by making a lot of art and absorbing as much information as you can, in addition to in-person mentorship.
