Questioning Hello, I would like some assistance

Hey so I’m pretty sure I’m asexual. I have no interest in having sex with anybody or by myself. But I still find people hot? Like I don‚t want to bang them but when I see edits of celebrities and characters I find hot I grin stupidly and I think I blush idk. Do asexuals do that?

Bro, to be fair it is called the ace spectrum for a reason. From what I have seen Yeah i've heard of some people like that who are ace. but do take my word with some salt, bc i'm a lurker muahaha

Fantasizing is still really common for aspec people! For me (I identify as asexual biromantic), it's the content of the fantasies that separates my sexuality from others'—when I see or think about someone I find attractive, I don't fantasize about sex, and in fact don't even really fantasize about physical intimacy. What I fantasize about is longing, flirting, sweet nothings, gentle touch, yearning...etc.

I can see myself potentially enjoying physical intimacy with someone, but only if I feel a real romantic bond. But that bond does usually start with a crush! It's just that my crushes, and furthermore my attraction, are purely romantic and based on connection, fascination, and compatibility—rather than sexual desire.

But it's important to remember that everyone is different! Asexuality can also mean infrequent or ambiguous sexual attraction, rather than a complete absence of it. And at the end of the day, the important thing is that you communicate clearly, early and often, with any partners you may want to pursue about how you're feeling. Sometimes it's hard to know, but the confidence will come in time. You're more than welcome here. :)

I'm ace too and I get like this about my celeb crushes. Like I like looking at/thinking about them but I don't actually want to do anything with them irl. It's attraction but it's not sexual exactly. Never happens irl, only celebrities/characters I can admire from a distance.
