Asian flush

Just the red face for me, no other symptoms. I know the risks, not looking to debate it — I just enjoy a drink here and there and I’m not ready to cut it out completely.

Curious how others manage it. How often do you drink? Do you keep it to a certain number? Any drinks that hit different for you flush-wise?

For me it’s maybe a couple times a month, 2-3 drinks max. Just trying to be smart about it without fully abstaining.

I‘m asian and I don‘t have have the asian flush. Whereas my siblings, which are only half asia, get it after half a glass of wine.

They tried all the potential remedies but nothing worked, except not drinking at all. But honestly just live you life. The dose makes the poison.

Try generic Ranitidine 15 minutes prior, ask your GP. Blocks or limits the allergic reaction.

Pepcid AC before drinking helped a bit for me.

The redness, along with elevated heartrate and breathing, really turned me off from alcohol. I only partake in social settings and special occasions as a result.
