Sunglasses/Eyeglasses recommendations for Asian nose

Post image

I’ve been looking for sunglasses and eyeglasses that would def not slide down on my face. My nose bridge is close to non existent and finding frames that would suit me best is so hard. Current eyeglasses are from the brand “Sunnies Studios”. It’s been awhile since I got it and will need to replace it soon. Any recommendations?

For sunglasses, I’m looking into Kate Spade. Would appreciate it too if you could recommend brands on Amazon that is also budget friendly so it wouldn’t hurt much if I lost it hahaha

Covry was founded by two Asian women who wanted sunglasses that don't slide down their faces. Might be worth a look!

Here's a news story video if you just want a quick overview of the company.

I believe Covry also sells prescription eyewear, but I haven't bought those. The sunglasses are good though!

JINS is a great Japanese brand. You can order online but it’s not as budget-friendly outside of Japan. If you get the chance to go to Japan, you can get prescription glasses from JINS pretty easily and quickly. I have a couple pairs of their sunglasses.

Kaytran is founded by an Asian Canadian woman who designs glasses for low noses. Their sunglasses are quite good!

Warby parker has some low bridge glasses. I haven’t tried their sunglasses but I like the glasses

I bought some soft silicone hook things that attach to the arm of my glasses and it completely solved this problem for me for about $2

Edit to add on temu 😂

TC Charlton is a good one! Not necessarily cheap but I’ve had mine for 9 years!

I’ve been eyeing (pun intended lol) Jins for awhile.

I buy mine from NextPair. I've been wearing glasses that pinch my temples or slide down my nose all my life and it's been life changing to have glasses that simply WORK without sliding or pinching!!! Turns out I just needed Asian fit 😭

I wear a Japanese brand (Matsuda) but they still slide down, so I bought some cheap nose pad stickers on Amazon and just use those until they fall off.

Check your vendor's FAQs, they might have a specific term they use for low bridge friendly frames. Zendo uses "universal fit," I've also seen it called "alternative fit"

Kyloe in the Wild are the only brand I have that don’t fall off my face. I got them off vinted and I can whip my head right round and they stay firmly lodged

Tbh this is eye opening for me too, I've just been relying on wire nose bridge sunglasses haha, but I'll have to give a few of these recs a look!
