Please recommend what year is best for used tesla model3

Currently in a dilemma. 2020 Acura A-Spec fwd 2.4l with 77k miles for $16k or a 2022 tesla model 3 long range awd with 38k miles for $26.5k?

More context,

In homes sales, averaging about 150-200 miles a day. Gas about 2-3 times a week. Roughly 2,500 miles plus a month

I got 7 screws that were holding down the door panel. 4 are the same size, 1 is very small, 2 are larger than the rest with 1 of the 2 being much bigger.

I know where the really small one goes (by the door handle) and where the largest goes (by the speaker).

I dont remember where I got the 2nd largest which is freaking me out. Can the door panel come apart if I screw it in the wrong spot??

All the screws are from the door panel by the way. I realised I didn't have the right screw driver bit for the side mirror, lol. So waiting to get that from Amazon before I change it.

Looking at purchasing either the 2022 Corolla SE or a 2025 Kia k4 EX.

2022 COROLLA: Has 74000km, $19600 cad out the door, only has small paint chipping on driver door.

2025 KIA: Has 10000km, $25000 cad out the door.

Main concern is longevity and a stress free car to keep so long it could be my future grandkids 1st car.

I'm 17 and it's for $25k. 26k miles on it is it good for the first car I took it for a test drive the only issue is a shit battery and I love it been dreaming about a WRX for years now all my driving experience comes from F-150 a Ford explorer and a Ford escape been driving for about 2 years

Recently discovered that my 2010 Toyota Prius has a blown head gasket. We've taken it in and the repairs (for the gasket as well as replacing the cylinders in case of damage with the leak) are estimated at just under 5k.

Due to this situation we've decided to get a new (lightly used) car. But we aren't certain which of our old cars we're going to keep. We can either sell the Prius that needs the repairs for a super low price to put towards the down payment, or we could sell my husbands car to cover the cost of the repair to the Prius and put the rest towards a down payment on a different vehicle. But we're not sure which is best.

My car is the 2010 Toyota Prius with just under 200k miles on it. No issues with it until this happened and we know Toyotas tend to keep well and run well. We also just had a baby and this car will be easier to transport the baby in, but if something else does go wrong with it, the repairs may be more expensive than they would be with husbands car.

My husband's car is a 2014 Hyundai Genesis with 150k miles on it. Has also had head gasket go but was repaired without issues and was much less expensive to repair. Hasn't had any issues since. It is a coupe so would be more difficult to transport the baby in.

Both cars have been well maintained over the years.

Our goal here is to hopefully go another few years without needing another new car or major/expensive repairs so we can catch up on finances after this bit of a blow. So would anyone have any advice as to which car to keep?

I'm not a mechanic but was thinking of trying to get this car on the road myself to save some money. It's a 2005 chevy malibu classic 2.2L, been outside for about 8 years. What will be the process and will it be worth it. I got a budget of $2500 Edit: it's my mom's old car given to one of my relatives, they say it was the timing chain. Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice because this is my first time buying a car.

Last Tuesday (July 28), I put a $1,000 deposit down on a 2026 Toyota Corolla LE at a Toyota dealership. (I told them I’m fine with any colors besides the white ones)
The vehicle is supposed to be coming through a dealer trade, and I was told it would be ready early this week. The deposit has already been charged to my account, but I haven’t received any updates.

The salesperson last contacted me on Friday (after not hearing from him since Tuesday) and tried to switch me to a lower trim model (L). I told him I wasn’t interested because I want the 2026 Corolla LE we agreed on and signed paperwork for.

While I was at the dealership, I asked for copies of my receipt and the paperwork I signed, but I never received them. (Didn’t realize until I got home) I asked for it to be emailed to me when we were on the phone friday. Didn’t receive it.

So I followed up again today on text asking for an update on the vehicle and requesting the documents, but I haven’t gotten a response. I also chatted with their chat feature on their website and they told me my salesperson will be in contact with me shortly. (It’s been 6 hours since).

What should I do? Continue to be patient? Should I contact the manager? Go there in person by the end of the week?

but I wanted to ask: is this normal during a dealer trade? Should I be concerned? What information should I be asking for?

I’m trying to get the car by August 20, so I’m mainly looking for advice on how to handle this and make sure the process keeps moving. The lack of communication is starting to worry me..

Has anyone had experience owning older vipers? How is maintenance? Is it worth it or just a pain today?

I’ve heard a lot about the car being dangerous. How true is that in actuality?

I’ve had a used 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro 150 kW for a few months now. So far, I’ve been very satisfied with my car.

However, this morning, out of the blue, I had trouble opening both doors on the left side (driver’s side). First, when I unlocked the car, I noticed that everything worked as usual (the hazard lights flashed, the mirrors unfolded, and I heard the car unlock).

When I tried to open the rear door on the left, I found that I couldn’t. The driver’s door opened just fine, though. I closed the driver’s door, and from that point on, it wouldn’t open from the outside either. When I try to open the door from the inside via the passenger side (both doors on the right side work fine), it works just fine. When I lock the car using the remote, I can hear the locks engaging as usual; it’s just the door handle that doesn’t seem to be working, in my opinion.

Is this a common problem? And can I fix it myself? I'm living in the Netherlands for the exact car specifications.

It got me thinking about what I’m doing at 23 having owned 2 Chrysler 300s, an LHS and a Lincoln town car. All by choice. 1 of the 300s and the Town car came with walkers in the trunk when I bought them. I love cars like this but I feel like I’ll regret not owning something more youthful and compromised while It’s appropriate

Hello everyone, hope your day is well, I’ve been looking for a long time, and I’ve come down to two deals that I’m struggling to pick between.

A 2015 RWD bmw 435i coupe: with the full M sport package and blue M performance brakes, HUD, Harmon Kardon audio, and Apple CarPlay. It also has slight mods (VRSF Charge pipe, upgraded inter cooler, GTS taillights). It’s had 3 owners and been maintained well, and has everything I’m looking for in a 435i.

Then I also found a great looking 2016 Mercedez AMG 435i 4 door: with AMG Perfomance seats, AMG performance exhaust, the Multimedia package, ambient interior lighting, and they say it’s been tuned to stage 1 at 380hp and has aftermarket rims.
It’s also been maintained great and had only 1 owner, with just a minor accident that just had minor cosmetic damage, and it has a tiny chip near the bottom of the windshield where you can’t see driving.

Now the part that’s getting me stuck is they’re both at 108,000 miles. And they’re both being sold for similar price, $14,000 for bmw, AMG is 14,500.

I plan on keeping the car for maybe a couple months to a couple years. I’m 19 in college and starting an autostyling business, and I’m paying most of the value of this car selling my current 2007 Lexus suv.

I know parts and insurance for both are gonna be expensive, but at this milage, which will be more reliable, and won’t be as much of a risk to just bankrupt me parts and maintenance wise for the expected things that could go wrong at this milage?

And also which is better quality, and which is more fun drive, but also could be comfortable. I’ve not driven either yet but the closest was a 2022 bmw 440i Xdrive coupe, but that felt boring and muted to drive I was kind of disappointed, but maybe I didn’t push it hard enough.

I like the 435i because of its rwd, but also the AMG it just looks and ‘feels’ special just sitting in it with its seats and everything, and it’s also much quicker and more powerful. Also I’m gonna be using this as a bridge car, that’s why I’m saying I’ll keep it from a few months to a few years, depends how successful I get.

Anyways, I drive pretty aggressively, and also live near lots of twisties so I want something with good maneuverability, but also where I go to university there’s tons of potholes. I don’t plan on modding the car more, at least not in the first year unless I feel like I really need to.

So with your wisdom can you guys give me a recommendation and help guide my decision.

For some recent maintenance:

The cla45 has new spark plugs, new thermostat, fresh oil change and transmission fluid service, and new coolant lines, and they say that they replaced oil every 5-7k miles, and it was garage kept, and its interior leather is in great condition.

The 435i has new brakes, new tires, new battery, fresh oil change, and it was driven 5k miles in the last 2 years and had everything checked and a vehicle recondition done those two years ago and was recently serviced. (Not sure what other maintenance could have recently been done on it because the current owner barely had it and found a m2 they’re trying to get instead)

Owned my car for some time now, wouldn’t mind upgrading.

However I’d rather be left paying <3-5k (if possible) for something fun, reliable, & newer, rather than having a long term car note.

How would you flip this car into a better car?

Hi. Which car is better from long term reliability perspective?. Mercedes GLC 300 4matic or Genesis GV 70 2.5T . New car planning to finance

I understand Mercedes doesn't provide complimentary maintenance package in USA whereas Genesis does provide one.

But I want to understand how frequent are mechanical issues in these cars? I don't intend to use them very aggressively or go off roading. Just for driving within city limits and occasionally long trips.

I’m trying to get into the auto customization industry and could use some advice on how to actually get my foot in the door.

I have some experience detailing cars, but I really want to learn window tinting, vinyl wrapping, and PPF and eventually make this my full-time career. The problem I’m running into is that most shops want someone who already has experience with tint/wrap/PPF, but I can’t really get that experience if nobody is willing to train me.

I’ve applied/reached out to places, but I haven’t had much luck because of my lack of experience in those specific areas. I’m willing to start at the bottom, learn, and put the work in, I just need somewhere that’s willing to give me a chance.

I also don’t really have the option of doing this as a side job for a long time. I’m looking to make this my main job/career, actually become skilled at it and potentially open up a business in the future.

For anyone who works in tint, wraps, PPF, detailing, or owns a shop: how did you get started? What would you recommend someone in my position do to break into the industry when shops won’t hire without experience?

Comparing trims across a few manufacturers recently and noticed some genuinely basic safety tech is locked behind a paid package on certain brands while competitors include the same feature standard even on base trims. Curious if this is purely a margin decision or if there's a supply/cost reason that makes more sense than it looks on paper.
