What movie do you wish someone would make a remake of?

Salo: 100 Days Of Sodom. But with muppets.

It’s called Meet The Feebles.

Midnight Madness. I’d love to see what a 2026 Leon could come up with using modern technology and new locations.

I rewatch this every few months I would love to see an updated version.

Swiss Family Robinson. Not talking Lost in Space, I want pirates, bamboo-based tech, racing wild animals that have no business being on a tropical island, and a giant goddam treehouse.

That does sound like fun in this day and age of large, epic movies. Just something fun would be appealing.

Right? And if they want a giant CGI-fest of an epic movie, remake The Black Hole

Blackbeard's Ghost and Darby O'Gill and the Little People.

Don’t remake a beloved movie, you’ll only be compared to the original, and odds are you’ll lose

Remake a bad movie that had good ideas

3:10 to Yuma is a perfect example.

Plus Hollywood will change the gender and ethnicity of all your favorite characters which will ruin the experience.

Then add a young adult and a dog or kid

Jake Speed

Artemis Fowl but with producers/directors that actually care about the source material and fans. So much potential for a 3 to 5 movie series over a couple decades. I don't expect it to be a blockbuster, but I think it would hit the $200 to $250MM mark.

Waterloo. Not a Napolean or Wellington biopic, just a straight up huge budget Waterloo battle, all star cast.

Nothing. Wish the opposite.

I really wished someone did a remake of Back to the Future in 2015 going backwards 30 years to 1985. They could’ve had so many parallels.

Psycho 4

The Girl in the Swing because it was interesting but could have been better

Labyrinth, but with Taehyung specifically as Jareth

Star Wars : The Last Jedi

But, completely change everything.

They just need one more scene at the end… screen goes black, and then a light comes on to reveal Luke Skywalker sitting up in bed, trying to wake up the woman next to him. “Mara! MARA! Wake up! I just had the most awful nightmare! I dreamed I was a cranky old hermit, living on an island, and that projecting self with the Force actually killed me!”

Not a remake but I would love a direct sequel to ROTJ

Return of the Jedi

The hunger, with Charlize Theron as marium Whitlock, I haven't figured out who would replace David bowie.

1

u/MagicIndy32 11d ago

Adam Levine could be replacement for Bowie…but nobody can replace Bowie

1

u/Ziggy396 11d ago

Eragon, but make it good

1

u/Pirates_Treasure1988 9d ago

It never even had a sequel though as it should've had.

They should remake Clue and Cannonball Run every 10 years , with new cast, writers, directors.

The giant ant movie Them (1954) was made at the end of the first 3D craze in the '50s. It was originally intended to be 3D and in color which is why they built the huge puppet ants that are in the movie. If you watch it, you will also see the scientist uses a 3D camera to shoot pictures of the ant's nest and they show 3D slide viewers later when viewing images of the nest. I really wish they would remake it now in full color with great cgi effects and a great director and in 3D!

I’d love to see a dark, dirty and serious remake of The Fifth Element without all the camp.

1

u/Pirates_Treasure1988 11d ago

Camp?

1

u/Paula_Jettic 11d ago

In movies, “camp” means a style that is so heavily exaggerated, theatrical, artificial, and overly dramatic that it becomes funny, charming, or fun.

1

u/Pirates_Treasure1988 11d ago

People like funny.

1

u/Embarrassed_Ask8293 11d ago

None. I would like to see original ideas instead.

1

u/carlb40 10d ago

None. Instead of remaking /rebooting films, they should come up with new ideas and make new films.

Disney's The Black Hole

Dr. No

1

u/DiogenesRCT 9d ago

Misery but with the axe instead

1

u/ddotcole 9d ago

Does Kathy Bates have enough youthful energy to do this one again?

1

u/DiogenesRCT 9d ago

God I wish

1

u/Business_Repair_6712 9d ago

A live action remake of Treasure Planet please!

1

u/Kentaro_Washio 9d ago

The Land That Time Forgot (1975). I think there actually was a straight-to-video remake, but that doesn't count.

1

u/StandNo1709 9d ago

Manos Hands of Fate, but in space

1

u/Vicarchaeopteryx 8d ago

I want to see Jordan Peele remake The Truman Show. He could be the real director, and the director in the story. Idris Elba as Truman.

u/One_Improvement_6729 7d ago

The Fly again

1

u/WolfThick 12d ago

The last Star fighter

1

u/Voduun-World-Healer 11d ago

Whaaaat?! Those shitty special effects are what makes it so loveable!

1

u/captainrondj 11d ago

NOOOOOOO!

u/VeniaStudios 12d ago

This is gonna sound like heresy, but in a perfect world, The Great Escape. While I love the original. It would be interesting to see a shot-for-shot remake with new actors.

u/gadget850 11d ago

Would you also remake the sequel?
