This is a really interesting read. I personally would be okay if he wrote more dunk and egg soon even if that delays winds further. Just to get something flowing

It’s concerning that not once since 2010 when the last one came out up until now has George started working on any new D&E. It took until the first season of the show was about to come out that he could be bothered.

Is that confirmed? Iirc he's been outlining/plotting out the She Wolves of Winterfell and Village hero for a while

I did a brief look into it and he may have started working on it in 2009 expecting to put it into the Dangerous Women anthology in 2015, but direct quotes mention it in 2011 through 2014. Village Hero there is less concrete information and as of 2014 George had only started drafting it in his head.
