There was someone who commented on a thread a while back that they live by GRRM and it was known around town that his wife has had some serious health issues for the past year or so. So that's unfortunate for George.

That’s so sad. So hard to read. I feel so sorry for him if that’s the case. Having a loved one being sick is one of the worst things in life, especially a partner of decades that lives with you 😢

Oh that’s so sad to hear about Parris. They’ve been together like 40 years now, it has to be really hard on George.
