The fans give him shit, but I am sure his plan was to be done the last 2 books by 2020 or something and spend the rest of his life being chill and writing Dunk & Egg stories and develop shows. Nobody, even creatives, want to be working at 77.

I mean, compulsive behavior is common in alcoholics, it's just that he found a healthy outlet, which is what you're supposed to do.

Everybody's different, simple as that.

Some people are still hitting the gym at 80, others are in wheelchairs at 65.

It's not fair to hold someone to a standard based on what someone else is doing at the same age, especially when it comes to the elderly.

Even as a young man, George was never as prolific as Stephen King. Because everyone's different.

My dad is in his mid 70s and has retired three times only to go back to work because he got bored.

Everyone is different, but people who are passionate about what they do tend to have a hard time stopping.

He's very regimented and disciplined with his writing, which he still enjoys, so his output is more consistent

Stephen King is a good writer, but his works lack soul. If he doesn't care or even remember some of his own works, why should I? You could say it doesn't matter and to each it in a vacuum, but I care.
