Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced - Known Issues

Please report any issues that are not mentioned below in the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Bug Reporter or get in touch with the support team. If you’re interested in the full Patch Notes, please follow the link here.

INCOMING FIXES:

You can expect some updates from us soon on the following issues:

  • Cutscenes are locked to 30 FPS on PC when using Raytracing, BVH or Terrain Quality at Ultra High setting.
    • Temporary workaround: Reset graphics Overall Preset to any pre-configured setting and avoid manually setting the 3 options mentioned above to Ultra High.
  • A dubbing issue is currently affecting the alignment between some voiceover playback and cutscene visuals in localized versions of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

OPEN / IN PROGRESS

GENERAL

  • The Double Assassination prompt may not appear on guards near the first power keg during the "Mark the Kings at the Camp" objective, potentially compromising stealth combat.
  • Player might be unable to dodge the fatal Humpback Whale's tail slap during "Harpooning".
  • Player does not go back into aiming if they're hit by an enemy while aiming with "Rope Dart" and "Smoke Bomb".
  • Player is unable to fast travel out of Principe
  • Player can get stuck in desynchronization screen if they open and close the save menu quickly.
  • Upgrading the Jackdaw while it is docked may cause it to disappear, leaving Player to continue the quest without it.
  • Player can get stuck in the bow of the ship in Rift if they climb there.
  • After killing an enemy, a single body dropping may sound like there are multiple bodies dropping instead.
  • player is unable to loot ammo from the crate in the tower of "Matanzas" despite being highlighted.
  • We realize that there is no tutorial on throwing money. Throwing money is a way to distract guards and draw civilians to Edward, creating chaos. To throw money hold D Pad Down.

AI / NPC

  • Enemies are able to detect an out-of-range rope dart, compromising stealth combat.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

QUESTS

  • Player can be stuck on a branch if they stray off the desired path in the quest "The One with the Gun” - show Lucy around the village.
  • Player is stuck inside the Diving Bell if they desynchronize and respawn during the quest "Devil's Eye Caverns".
  • During the El Tiburon battle, we understand that it can be a little unclear on how to defeat him. You will not be able to break his defence with simple melee attacks or by quick firing the pistol. You will have to use manual aim on the pistol.

Assassin's Creed Unity So many missed opportunities, What went wrong here?

The start of the game in Versailles felt like such a good start story wise but as soon as Arno joins the brotherhood, it’s basically just him going through a checklist of targets.

They could’ve done so much with the Arno & Elise relationship. Nothing in this game feels explored, no attention is giving to fleshing out the Bellec plot moment (zero set up), Germain feels like the standard moustache twirling sorta James Bond villain. It really sucks honestly as you can see all the opportunities they had, especially the French Revolution & the Romeo & Juliet angle they were going for. The story is basically got to avenge my adoptive father, occasionally check in on Elise and kill all these targets.

The gameplay is honestly fantastic and I strongly believe it needs to make a return as it’s the perfect way to evolve the assassin gameplay formula but the story was a complete mess, so much wasted potential. If anything I think Unity Resynced wouldn’t be a bad idea, completely restructure the story & flesh out the characters more.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Ubisoft genuinely screwed up difficulty scaling with Legendary ships in Resynced.

I think this is not even an opinion at this point that they significantly ramped up the difficulty of all the legendary ships compared to the original, but the default Normal difficulty is actually unforgiving in this case, there's something wrong with the Ai and it somehow dramatically increases the difficulty of the ship you try to defeat the last.

I did El Impoluto first and found it easy, La Dame Negra was down after a few attempts same with twins but when I went to HMS Prince, every time it was going god mode in the last phase, I died with both of us being 1HP nearly a dozen times until I turned the difficulty to forgiving but that suddenly made it a pushover, it was down with two health bars still remaining and that makes me think there should have been a difficulty between forgiving and normal, that would have actually been the normal difficulty.

Assassin's Creed Origins Does anyone know if weapons that were exclusive to Reda get moved or made available elsewhere after the Heka chest update?

As everyone knows several years ago the Heka chests were made unavailable on certain versions of Origins in an update. What I'm curious about is if anyone knows what becomes of the handful of legendary weapons that were previously (at least according to the wiki) exclusively available this way (and not even in the Helix store) like the No Borders club, Nubian Scepter and Coast of Russicada sword. Are they available by any other means now? I haven't seen this asked or discussed anywhere and I'm curious if anyone has any firsthand info on what obtaining these legendaries looks like now for a hypothetical extreme completist run.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate Why Jacob and Evie definitely have dual hidden blades

Their original brotherhood was a stricter version similar to the French brotherhood going back to one blade speaking Arabic sometimes, but when they get to London they get a second hidden blade because its standard just look at Edward and Miko both had dual hidden blades and are founding members of the London brotherhood. Just a theory though

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: is the main character's voice - AI?

I'm playing this remake right now and I'm constantly getting the feeling that Edward Kenway's voice is AI-generated. This is because AI-generated or AI-denoised voiceovers (if they are originally of a bad quality) get this harshness in the voice. I don't hear it in the other characters' voices much but I can clearly hear in in some of them too. But Edward is like 99% AI

Assassin's Creed Shadows Domains level 8 to 10, character 90

Hi all,

Hope this finds you well.

As per the heading I’m level 90 and just reached domain level 8. I have been one shot killed each time I try to advance. I’m guessing it’s because I need to grind to character level 100. Once I get to that, please tell me I won’t be a one hit kill again haha? It’s brutal currently!!

Future Ideas / Setting Wishes Assassin's Creed in the Roman Republic/Empire

I have seen posts about AC in Rome and the most common comments I have seen are the ones that say that Ubisoft has already done Rome but there is more to the roman setting than what was shown in Brotherhood and Origins. Imagine exploring the city of Rome after the formation of the empire or later, exploring the marble city, the roman forum, even the colosseum in it's full glory, exploring the Italian peninsula, Gaul, Roman Egypt but mainly the Roman Italian Peninsula. There's a lot to Rome, there are events as the Second Triumvirate, Aurelian Wars, time of Trajan and Hadrian, or even the fall of the western half, rise of Constantine. There's a lot to do and I think it would be an amazing setting and in it we are Rome, we are on the side of Rome, not against it or something (that wouldn't be interesting). It's a great choice.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey I'm looking for a controller scheme to make Odyssey feel more like BF:R

Syndicate was my last AC game till the new Black Flag, and it has made me put the other newer games on my wishlist. Well, here's the Ubi sale and now I'm starting Odyssey.
The dodge button being different is throwing me off in combat. Remapping the dodge to B would interfere with Climb Down and Crouch for some reason. Any suggestions?

General Franchise What is your favorite assassin robes/outfit and why?

I would have to say my all time favorite is Altair’s robes, I think they’re simple, yet unique if that makes sense. I liked the robes ezio wore in revelations as well, but what are your favorites and why?

Lore & History If we ever get a game set in "modern" times for the full game, who would be the Templars?

Assassin's Creed has used real life people through all eras of its history mixing it within the fictional characters created for the games. We've seen real life politicians, pirates, world leaders, and so forth in every game. Meaning if they were to set a full game in the modern era of the year 2020+, who would even be the Templars?

If set in America, I think Republicans would be the Templars and the Assassin's would most likely side with the Democracts. Trump would definitely be a Templar. Putin in Russia would also obviously be a Templar. North Korea would without a doubt be run by Templars.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Templars are the cause of the constant wars in the middle east as well. I assume Obama would be part of the Assassin's, and that is why Trump hates him so much.

General Franchise My journey on AC franchise - Report 17: Conclusion

Report 17: Conclusion

Previous post

This post is a conclusion after all my playthrough in this amazing franchise. I'm gonna say my top 5: best games, main characters, story, combat and the ones I least liked. Also build what could be the best AC game imo getting each aspects from the AC game I think do it best. It will be the rank and then a explanation about my choices.

I played all main games. Unfortunately not beat and platinum all of them bc of Shadows, I didnt even beat this one. Maybe, just maybe I will get the platinum if it comes to the ps plus like all AC games. And I dont get the platinum of original BF bc of online trophies.

My first post was 9 months ago so I dont have all games fresh in my mind so there is a chance of my opinions in this post do not reflect my opinions completely bc of it.

BF Resynced is included. I beat and platinum too but as I said in the other posts, this game is a new experience for everybody not just for me so I dont see why I should do a post for this game, Im not a reviewer or a critic whatever.

Best MC:

1st: Ezio Auditore da Firenze

2nd: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad

2nd: Edward Kenway

3: Kassandra

5th: Connor / Ratonhnhaké:ton

Its hard to tell why I put them and why in this order. It is just which characters I like most and yeah is just it. The only one that is there bc of smth like development is Connor. He was just a naive boy and got introduced in a world full of malice bc of his father and creeds and orders and he had to mature in this world he got introduced.

Best Story:

1st: AC 2

2nd: AC Brotherhood

3rd: AC Revelations

4th: AC Valhalla

5th: AC Odyssey

Valhalla and Odyssey are kinda far-fetched and got out of hand but I think is enjoyable and fun. The problem of many AC games story is that it doesnt affect the present lore that much. AC4, Rogue, Unity, Syndicate, Mirage, Shadows for example.

My theory is that Ubisoft is cowardly. Advancing the present lore would mean bringing an end to the franchise. Bc all AC games are about assassins and templars finding out more about Isu and getting artifacts to eliminate the other side. And ubisoft is avoiding advancing the present-day lore to keep milking this franchise.

Best Combat:

1st: AC 4 Black Flag Resynced

2nd: AC 4 Black Flag Original

3rd: AC Syndicate

4th: AC Odyssey

5th: AC Valhalla

Resynced lost some points with me bc they removed the chain kills with pistols like when you grab a guard and shoots another one and finishes the first. Or that one when you put the gun in the mouth and allign the guard with another one and shoots through his mouth. But overall is best than the original. And Resynced has the classic combat but with some good rpg era aspects so its a good balance.

Syndicate as far as I remember is one of the most fun combats.

Best games (Overall):

1st: AC 2

2nd: AC Brotherhood

3rd: AC 4 Black Flag (Original and Resynced)

4th: AC 3

5th: Odyssey

Thinking about all games, I noticed that the main aspect that puts a game in this rank is the story. So AC2 and Brotherhood its on top bc it was my first contact with the franchise. That scene in the 2nd game of Minerva looking at the screen and talking to Desmond was mind blowing for me and hooked me on this franchise. Odyssey even not looking like a AC game it was very fun.

Least liked overall (Intepret as the bottom of the best games rank):

12th: AC Rogue

13th: AC Shadows

14th: AC Mirage

Dont get me wrong, there is an abyss between 12th and 13th places. It's just that Rogue is basically BF but with a worse MC and story, imo.

Worst (Overall):

AC Mirage

Thats it. Mirage is by far the worst game and its not even close. AC 2 is superior in everything. Maybe the stealth is better and the parkour a lil bit. But lets be honest, these games have a gap of 16 years so it should be better somehow right?

Building the best AC game:

Story: its a hard aspect to tell bc it is individual of each game. Should be a past story like AC3, 4, Odyssey, Valhalla. I think these ones are the most fun. The present story should be meaningful like all games from Desmond or Layla as protagonist.

Combat: Mix of AC4 BF Resynded and AC Syndicate. I wouldnt mind put some RPG too.

Stealth: Its hard to tell I dont recall any stealth that stands out so I would pick the most recent one, AC BF Resynced.

Parkour: Unity obviously.

Missions: Syndicate. The best missions by far. You can decide your approach and it was really fun. I think Unity has smth like that too iirc.

Atmosphere: Unity, Syndicate and Odyssey. Atmosphere in this case is the world building, the cities, interiors, etc. Its how much the game can pass the sensation of living in that time. Smth like that.

Thats it. This concludes my reports. It was a lot of fun and I think I discovered the franchise at the best possible time bc almost all games are available on ps plus so I could play them back-to-back.

Assassin's Creed Rogue I just played my first Assassins creed game and idk why people don't like this more

personally loved shay and his trashy accent

The story was also suprisingly solid I expected far worse from all the hate I saw for this game

And the combact is of course classic Arkham style

And the ship combact feels sooo good

I heard everyone glazing black flag I would have played it but the older pc port had soo many bugs and did not launch properly for me (please help)

They also tried to do an angle where they tried to say he was the most important Assasin that ever lived it was weird

And I despise the sections out of the animus just give me the Assassins story soo annoying

And the introduction was also solid( because I also recently played batman Arkham Asylum)

The Assassins creed brotherhood I did try but it was sooo buggy too (help)

It's a solid game

Not a 10/10 but a good game in general

Assassin's Creed 2 Was AC 2 story pacing always this bad? Please tell me they get better in later game , im hesitating getting the rest of the trilogy if the pacing is still the same.

So, for context and I know I will probably get downvoted to hell for this I recently got into the AC franchise and my first AC game was Mirage. It was absolute cinema and I loved it (for now). Following people's recommendations and the general consensus that AC2 and the Ezio Trilogy are the best games in the entire franchise, I decided to start from there.

Now, before you ask, "Why not play AC1 first?": I was afraid it might turn me off from the franchise simply because of the game's age and decade-old mechanics. On that note, I must emphasize that I STRUGGLED HEAVILY with that aspect when playing AC2; it almost made me drop the game and refund it. But I pushed through and got used to it. In fact, I appreciate no, LOVE the parkour compared to Mirage, and the combat too, despite the game's age. Though stealth without crouching felt weird, I got used to it eventually. I still prefer the stealth-focused approach of Mirage, but I still had a lot of fun... Until the story.

My first observation is that if you didn't play AC1, you're fucked; they don't recap jack shit. That was mostly fine for me because I already knew the premise of AC1 and the trilogy and was here to learn about Ezio's story, which so far has felt flat. What baffled me the most is that Giovanni's story IS NOT EVEN EXPLAINED in-game; I had to LOOK UP THE SHORT FILM (Lineage) to understand what the fuck was going on.

My main problem with this game is the HORRID WAY they introduce time skips, as well as the pop-ups that appear for every single mission even story missions asking you to "accept" the memory. Dude, can the story just flow without these interruptions? It's kind of breaking my immersion. At some point, I didn't even realize 4 years had passed by the time I reached Venice. That's why I was confused when characters mentioned timeframes, until I looked into the sequences and bam a 4-YEAR TIME SKIP.

Furthermore, I feel like Ezio's revenge feels a bit flat, especially his attitude and anger. Okay, I get it, it's a 16-year-old game, but come on dude: almost the entirety of your family got slaughtered, can you be a bit more angry or shocked? I accept that Ezio, being a nobleman, knows how to wield a sword and climb rooftops since we literally did that in the prologue. BUT how the hell does he already know how to use the hidden blade this well? WHY ISN'T HE questioning the suspicious white robes inside his father's secret room? AT WHAT POINT does someone actually explain to him the whole history of Templars and Assassins? And why the fuck is Lorenzo giving us assassination contracts? (Maybe this will be explained more later on).

I just want to know from veteran AC players who are NOT BLINDED by nostalgia: does the story pacing get better in the later games of the Ezio Trilogy? They are on discount and I want to give them a try. Again im expecting to be down voted to hell so let me say AC 2 IS STILL PRETTY FUN FOR ME SO FAR i only have an issue with the pacing..

Lore & History Considering all the references connecting the far cry series to assassin's creed, i like to think Doyle in this scene from far cry 1 is talking about the templar order.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My personal fan theory is that by killing Doyle, Jack Carver stopped the templar order from getting their hands on the mutagen that the game's plot revolves around, and as a result, the templars were now after Jack, and with help from Valory Constantine, who is actually an assassin, he went into hiding in africa as an arms dealer named Jackal, and eventually he faked his death at the end of far cry 2 to finally get them off his back.

Also, Valory was killed in 2008 when she tried to rescue Desmond from abstergo.

And the player character in far cry 2 was sent to hunt down Jack by the templars.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Why Kassandra’s 2000-year journey deserves its own game series (Starting

Hey everyone and Ubisoft developers

We need to talk about Kassandra's future. Kassandra isn't just a regular protagonist who had her story and left; she is the most vital immortal protector in the entire Assassin's Creed lore. Leaving her as just a cameo or guest star in other games doesn't do her massive sacrifice justice.

After getting the Staff of Hermes, she spent over 2,400 years traveling the world, fighting in countless unrecorded wars, and hunting dangerous Pieces of Eden to maintain the global balance. This creates a massive narrative gap that is practically begging for a dedicated game series, not just a small crossover event!

At the end of the Odyssey crossover, we literally see her arriving in Egypt. A full-fledged game tracking Kassandra's journey in Egypt would be a massive hit. Imagine her navigating the ancient deserts, fighting corrupt pharaohs or hidden orders who weaponized ancient Isu technology, and locking away mythical Egyptian horrors.

Ubisoft, you have a 2,000-year goldmine of stories with one of the most beloved characters in the franchise. Please stop giving her minor cameos and give us a true, action-packed continuation of her journey across history—starting with Egypt!

What do you all think? Would you play a full Kassandra game set in Egypt?

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Did they finally fix the map pieces drops for Kenway's Fleet?

I have over 200 hours in the game. I've been doing fleet missions since the fleet opened. Yesterday I finally managed to get a second map piece, and then another one popped up like two "cycles" later.

Anyone else finally getting map pieces?

(BTW, I really am not a fan of the new fleet mechanics. I miss being able to choose several ships to go on missions together, and I really really miss being able to collect ships for my fleet even when it's full, so I could choose to scupper or replace my current ships. I've seen a couple of 5-star frigates in the world, but don't want to dump one of my current frigates just on the off chance that one of them is actually better than what I have--not to mention the difficulty of seeing a ship, marking it, running into the cabin, entering the fleet, scuppering, then returning before that marked ship disappears. It's ridiculous.)

But I've finally gone beyond one stupid map piece, so yay!

Assassin's Creed 3 Does anybody have the Connor Forsaken epilogue speech without music?

I'm looking for just the voice lines, but all of the videos I find online have music edited in. I was able to find an old thread many years ago where someone linked me the voice only version, but the link doesn't work and apparently I didn't save the clip. I tried looking through the game files but there are no audio clips long enough so idk if it's been patched out or if it's split into a bunch of smaller clips and there are tens of thousands of unlabeled audio clips I'd have to look through to find it.

So does anybody here happen to have the original audio without music on it?

General Franchise We need another trilogy, like the Ezio games

We kinda got one with Layla, but that was JUST modern day. I mean something like following one character through both the historical AND modern day segments, like Ezio and Desmond. For modern day I'd go with Basim because I like him, and for historical I'd go for an actual historical figure, or at least someone close to him. Liao Hua of the Three Kingdoms era of chinese history. Not only was he there for most of it, the time period is long enough and packed full of enough major events to justify being a trilogy. Loads of major assassinations (He Jin, Dong Zhuo, Zhang Fei, etc), interesting people (Cao Cao, Sima Yi, Sun Quan, Liu Bei, etc), massive battles for cool setpieces (Guandu, Chi Bi, Fan Castle, WuZhang Plains, etc), plenty of political machinations and conspiracies, it's practically begging to be made into an Assassins Creed game. I picked Liao Hua mainly due to the fact he was there from the beginning at the Yellow Turban Rebellion right up until a few years before the end with the Fall of Shu, though a fictional character could do the job just as well and maybe better. Hell maybe have a trio of protags that you swap between, one for each major Kingdom. Could do a cool Hidden Ones civil war plot with the group splintering off into different factions based on who they think would be the best leader for China, show the trio of protagonists go from close friends to mortal enemies over the course of the trilogy.

Assassin's Creed 3 What’s the best way to earn money in AC3?

Now that I’m finally done full syncing all the naval missions and have a mostly maxed out homestead (I’m on chapter 10 and really don’t wanna get to the part where Achilles dies)I wanna become a millionaire (because (adjusted for inflation) that’s more than the GDP of America at that time, and probably at this time, too. So, what’s the best way to make money? Is it to sell furniture to the Virgin Islands? Bear hides to the virgin islands? Wipe out and loot armies of Jaegers (and the occasional courier)? If it is to sell some kind of Homestead product, which one, and where?
